What an amazing day - was picked up from my hotel, and dropped back off, and saw the beautiful great wall! had heard that Badalang was over-crowded, and that you lost the historic feeling of the wall as it had become very commercialised - whereas the Mutianyu part of the wall was amazing...there were quite a few people there, but you didn't feel in anyway that it was over-crowded. The tour was organised really well, and the lunch was amazing. The guide was great - although her english wasn't the greatest...but given it's her second language she did great - it would have been good to get a bit more information about the wall...but what we heard was still interesting. The tour should have also recommended comfortable walking shoes (trainers are best) as it's quite difficult walking on the wall - but great still. Also the lunch was amazing. I would have liked to have spent more time on the wall, as only had two hours, and for people who are not athletic means you can't walk a huge distance on the wall. but overall the tour was amazing and i loved every minute of it.
