The group tour was a mixed tour for chinese and international people. But the fact that the Chinese announcements were about 25-30 minutes while the english one were just about 5-10 minutes, showed the different treatment of the tour guide. The international participants also got their tickets for the great wall after the chinese and so on... Furthermore you can`t call this a guided tour since the wikipedia article contains a lot more information than the guide tells during the trip. It is more like a shuttle. But for that amount of money i would recommend everyone to by bus or taxi. It is faster and cheaper.
