We booked this tour for our second tour in Beijing, and the tour guide was very accommodating as we had to catch an early flight. Instead of going back to our hotel, we took our suitcase on the bus and he hailed a cab for us to go to the airport, after we had seen EVERYTHING! The day was full-on and we saw the Forbidden City last - which was then rather tiring. The experience of visiting these places will be with us forever. Lunch was great at the Temple of Heaven. Guide spoken good english and the shopping components were okay, but not interested in the Chinese medicine visit. I would highly recommend the tour company - it was easy to book and confirmations fast. Many thanks for a memorable trip. It made it possible to see so many things in our very short visit to Beijing.

We recently visited Beijing and used ChinaTour.net for three separate day tours. Day 1 we visited Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace . Laura (Lili?) was our personal tour guide and despite the rushed atmosphere caused to having to see so many sites in one day, she was very informative, exceptionally helpful, and a delight to be with all day. I highly recommend personal tour guides. The next day we visited the Lama Temple, the Panda Zoo and the Hutong. This was a small group tour and turned out to be a lot of fun. The Hutongs we visited were being renovated so there was a lot of construction debris. I think its great that these areas have been declared protected and are being redone. Lunch was great, in one of the Hutong houses. The Lama Temple was gorgeous and the pandas were sleepy and cute. The tour guide was incredible and I am sorry I forgot her name. I would like to give her personal credit for making this day a great memory. Our last tour was also a personal tour. We went to the Great Wall and the Ming Tombs. We chose the Badaling site since it has the cable cars to take you to the top. I was a little disappointed in that we went to the Great Wall at the last or our tour. The sun was in our faces so any pictures I took turned out rather poor. It would have been better to go to the Wall first but it was incredible to see! During all three trips, side excursions to silk factory stores, cloissone factory stores and other preferred shops took up some of our day but there were no hard sells. Probably what was the most fun was going to the Silk Factory and Pearl Market store. This is 5 stories of shopping heaven. Resist the temptation of buying at the stores visited on the tours if you can. You can find everything you want here if you are willing to bargain. My advice? Start really really low. If we return to China, we will definately use this service again.

| review written by Dieu Linh Tran | Date Added: 12/21/2009 | | Beijing Tours Few weeks ago, we booked the 1 Day tour to some famous places in Beijing such as Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace. It was very convenient and fast when booking as well as interesting experience during the trip. The tour guide is very kind and enthusiastic. I was really impressed when he tried to convince us not to buy souvenirs that are much expensive than their true values.
Also, it's quite cheap when we booked the budget tour. We were completely satisfied.

| review written by JANE PUNTER | Date Added: 10/11/2009 | | Beijing Tours The tour was very rushed and our guide spent a lot of the time on her mobile phone. We hardly saw any of the Summer Palace. Sadly emphasis again was on lunch deadline and visitng factory outlets. Could of done this tour on our own and at our own pace. As very good transport links, and the availability of audio guides at the sights would of made our visit more informative.

| review written by Peter Brunner | Date Added: 04/18/2009 | | Beijing Tours Once again Peter and I (Leslie Swiger) were picked up at the Beijing Crown Plaza. We again had private car, driver and tour guide, the same as for The Great Wall and the Ming Tombs. Can not
tell you what great people they were.Known as the Palace Museum, this magnificent complex is a grand monument to the 24 emperors who ruled from its hall over a period of almost 500 years.
A must see! The Temple of Heaven is where the emperor would make sacrifices and pray to heaven and his ancestors at the wintger solstice. As the Son of Heaven, the emperor could intercede with the gods on behalf of his people and pray for a good harvest. You can spend hours just hearing about the history of the Temple of Heaven. You may want and make it a day at the Summer Palace.
A sprawling landscaped park on the edge of the city, the Summer Palace was a seasonal imperial retreat from the stifing confines of the Forbidden City. It was the favored haunt of the fiercesome Empress Cixi, who had it rebuilt twice; once following its destruction by French and English troops in 1860 and again in 1902, after it was plundered during the Boxer Rebellion. Besure and take the
dragon boat across the lake. SoooooooBEAUTIFUL! We are going back and will be using ChinaTour.Net again. Thanks to all those who helped make our trip so enjoyable.

| review written by Joerg Heyse | Date Added: 06/11/2008 | | Beijing Tours We were a bit lucky with this trip as we booked the group tour but there was only our family and one other very pleasant guest.
The Forbidden City is huge and full of tourists. It is very impressive.
The Temple of Heaven is beautiful and definitely something special. The Summer Palace is again full of people, which does not take the pleasure out of the trip.
The way we were brought to have lunch - in a golf cart - gave us the feeling of being somehow important and was great fun.
The trip to the Chinese Medical Centre was very interesting although surprising. The Pearl Factory on the other hand did not enhance the trip at all.
It is much easier to visit these main sights of Beijing with a tour like this than being on your own with limited Chinese.

Day 1 we visited The Great Wall and the Ming Tombs, day 2 we visited the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and the Summer Palace and on day 3 we went to the Lama Temple, the Panda Zoo and the Hutong. All three day tours were wonderful. Our guides were pleasant and informative with excellent English skills. The meals provided were exceptional and transportation with comfortable and prompt. We certainly got value for our money with this tour operation. I was a bit apprehensive when I finalized the booking before we left home because the price was considerably lower then the other online sites offering guided tours. ChinaTour.net was awesome we are completely satisfied customers. Dan and Michelle Balan (Ontario Canada).

I will remeber this tour for long time. I do not think that I ever could get the same good experince with a bigger amount of a tour group, nor trying similar tour by myself. I recommend ChinaTour.net company for booking these type of events. Nice lunch as well. Best Regards Bjorn.

| review written by Julie NGUYEN | Date Added: 03/30/2008 | | Beijing Tours We enjoyed very much this tour. Our tour guide was Lili. She was very skillfull. We enjoyed having tour with her.
Normally, I booked for a coach tour, finally we were only 2 people, my husband and I. It was like a private tour.
We had time to see all the 3 sites.
She also took us to a traditional chinese medecine institute of research. We were very surprised to have this in the tour since it was not mentioned. We experienced traditional massage.
Very good. I recommend your agency. very good quality and service.
