I could not believe the three of us were having a private tour. Mike, our guide, was so insightful on The Forbidden city, Temple of Heaven and Summer palace. Then when he took us to the Tea House, which gave us a lesson on the benefits of each tea, and the Silk factory on how silk was made. Mike kept us moving but knew when we needed a break. The lunch at the local restaurant was delicious. I highly recommend this tour and Mike as your guide. The best value for a full day tour...
I went on 2 tours with China net . One excellent and this one not so good, the guide Tony did not have great English. The weather admittedly was not good, it was very cold, but we were left disappointed. I felt he just wanted to show us the bare minimum. I really wanted to see the long corridor of the Summer Palace, but unfortunately we did not see it, but no reason given. We were taken to a different part of the summer palace and it was too far to go over, or so we were told. The trip is dependent on which guide you get so make sure you ask in advance who it is and what exactly you are expected to see and make sure the guide can speak good English...

Did the tour after our Great Wall and Ming Tombs, again with Maggie, she has a lot if information about the locations we visited, I will only repeat what I said in the Great Wall Ming Tombs review. Great value for money did not mind giving tips to Maggie and Driver...

The tour was very easy to book and was quite reasonable. Our tour guide Serena, called the night before and told me when they would be picking me up. She was very good and told us a lot of history and kept us informed about what we were seeing. Tour was 5 people and all spoke English well. We saw Tienanmen Square as we were approaching the Forbidden City. Serena gave us an overview of what surround Tienanmen Square. We walked all through the Forbidden City with Serena explaining things well. She then took us to the China National Academy of Chinese Medicine for foot massage and a Chinese doctor review. He looked at our palms and took our pulse and told us what was wrong with us and prescribed certain herbal medicines. You didn't have to buy. They were quite expensive, like over $100 USD for a month supply. If you wanted the foot massage you needed to tip $20 CNY. It was educational. We then went to lunch at a place that she said they hadn't used before. It was ok, but not great. We then went to the Temple of Heaven. Serena dealt with getting all the tickets all the way along and they are included. After the Temple of Heaven, we headed to the Summer Palace, but we had to stop at a pearl shop. Again, you didn't have to buy anything. The Summer Palace was very interesting and scenic. The only thing we did that wasn't included in the price was walk around the lake and then paid $15 CNY to take a boat back to the entrance. It was just something we all agreed to do. I would highly recommend using this tour company and taking the Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace tour. If you tried to see it your self, it would have cost a lot more. I'm planning to take the Great Wall / Ming Tour tomorrow...
Un minibus est venu me prendre à l\'hotel, au Nord de Pekin. Nous étions 4 personnes avec un indonésien et deux indiens. Direction entrée de la place Tien\'An men La cité interdite était très interessante mais expédiée au pas de course (1h30 max) en occultant toutes les salles latérales. Le temple céleste est superbe. Repas dans un restaurant populaire (sans le guide) puis le passage obligé au magasin à touriste ou vous pouvez tomber sur un car de français. Puis le Palace d\'été, la encore expédié. Ce tour convient bien pour une première approche, sans s\'occuper des transports et autres, si vous avez le pas rapide. Le concept de petit car reste mieux que celui des cars de 50 personnes. De toute façon les \"desagréments\" restent les memes. Ivan..
Booking is easily done online one day before. It's good value for money. We decided to book this tour after joining the Mutianyu Great Wall tour the day before and found the guide highly efficient. She's very friendly and spoke fluent English. A couple of advice for taking this tour is not to go for the review by the TCM doctor while having the foot reflexology and to go ahead to rent the battery boat at the summer palace to fully enjoy the lake...
Thank you for this very nice sightseeing tour in Beijing. It was a great chance for me to use this one day journey to see the most important places in Beijing in short time. Our tour guide was Lisa, a very friendly and open-minded girl. She was well prepared and could answer nearly all of our questions. I appreciated the service for a take-off directly from the hotel, so nobody could get lost or miss the start. My tour was in the middle of the week with no holiday at the same time. hence, the places where not overcrowded and we really could see what we were visiting. Nevertheless we had to walk quite fast because the time schedule was tight. All in all I would rebook with ChinaTour.net for another tour...
I just got back from Beijing.....my tour guide was awesome!!!!!! Lucy was awesome! She also did 2 other days with us. She took us to some awesome restaurants! I would advise to definitely go with this company!! Great experience!!!!!!!!!!!!!!..

A good tour for a reasonable price. Our guide Anna was informative and very helpful. We booked a bus tour but there were only three of us! Lunch was very good in a restaurant, with 4 dishes and a soup to share amongst 3 of us! The tea factory and silk factory visits were great and we did buy a bit from each place. The Forbidden City was very interesting. Many people and a bit tiring after the 1 1/2 hours there though. Temple of Heaven was beautiful and we enjoyed the Summer palace. By that time we were very tired and they took us back to our hotel by 6pm as arranged...
I LOVED this tour. The Forbidden City is AMAZING~ Lovely, massive and very busy! Cathy was our guide and sheparded our group through the massive crowds. She was very informative and helpful. After we visited a Chinese medicine clinic and had a fabulous foot massage and an excellent lunch, before heading out to see the Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace. Also not to be missed! The tour was excellent and well-managed. I enjoyed the fact that the groups are small~ No big 50 people bus tours, we had a small group of 5 and it was truly enjoyable for the price...

Tour guide was Amid and he was outstanding. He provided us with all the history, details and stories possible and really made the tour very personal. He was very kind in answering many questions and he really knew his stuff. The tour was just perfect and we felt the day and schedule was just perfect. We felt like we got to see much of China/Beijing and were lucky to experience some of the city that we would not have if not with the tour. Woooowww... Forbidden City... fantastic and the guide was fully aware of the history and all what was inside in detail. Temple of Heaven is unique and you shouldn't miss it. Great spot with something special in it. Summer Palace is a big big big park to visit. The organization should give more time to this tour, because the Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace we did not have enough time to enjoy the ambiance and the surroundings...

As my wife was pregnant, we decided to take a 1 day private tour to the Forbidden city, Temple of Heaven and Summer Palace. The tour guide was excellent, the car was nice, clean and comfortable, and the driver was pretty calm fr chinese standards. The time spent at each place was enough for us however, if you are the type of tourist that you would want to see every corner and behind every stone or bush you may feel that the trip is a bit rushed. The tour passes through the Tiananmen Square but it doesn't stop there. So, at the end of the day as we were driving back to the hotel we asked to be dropped there. The guide was very accommodating and there was no problems. We had an excellent trip...

we just returned from China and we booked our forbidden city with the tour guide Will, this was a very nice tour though he was not very informative though we liked the tour alot, so we booked another tour with chinatour.net and that was to the great wall bus tour, the wall was Badaling section, we need be ready in the morning at 7:00AM were picked up and drove like 2 hours to pick up the rest of the group who were in different parts of Beijing hotels because of the bad traffic in the road, the guide Jimmy was very informative, knew a lots of stuff and was a very good guide, we had a nice time and Beijing is lovely...
