We joined the bus tour, our guide sought to be helpful and was informative but became confused by some questions (possible language barrier). More time should have been spent at the sights. For example we were rushed around the Ming Tombs and then taken to the Jade \"Museum\" (factory) then lunch for 1 1/2 hours and later stopped at a tea house. We had plenty of time at the Great Wall although were only given the steep option. This was fine for most people, but some of the older ones struggled. Bearing the slant towards visiting shops this was still a good tour.
