Review of 1 Day Tour : Great Wall and Ming Tombs by Randall

This was a very nice tour at a very reasonable price. The Great Wall was incredible. They picked me up at my hotel right on time at 7:30am and there were 5 others on this tour. We decided on the trip to do the new gondola ride to the top. It cost an additional 100 RMB, but it was well worth it. It took you close to the highest point around where you could see forever. You definitely want to do this on a nice day because the view was incredible. We happened to do it on a nice Saturday and there were 1000s of other people there, but it was worth it. We were pretty much on our own on the wall and we had 1 1/2 hours to explore. Probably would have been nice to have a little more time. The traffic getting there was bad, but it was much worse if we'd come later. So you want to get there early. We then went to a Jade factory (didn't buy anything). We had lunch at the Jade Factory, and it was surprisingly good. It was a first class lunch. We then went to Mings Tomb and that was also interesting, but it didn't top the Great Wall. Our Tour guide Jenny did a good job of explaining what everything was there. After that we went to a Tea House and tasted tea's that we could buy. (didn't buy anything). Then they dropped me off at my hotel around 5pm. It was a great day. I highly recommend this company for a quality tour at a very reasonable price. I know they have the stops at the two places to sell you stuff, but that's why they can do it so inexpensively.
