At 7:30 sharp I was picked up by my guide May and her driver in a spacious, comfortable car.
Although we expected lots of traffic we were lucky and came at the Tomb as the first ones.
We went for a walk through the gate and past the sacred road with its beautiful statues.
I got all the information and answers to all my questions. The tomb itself was nice as well (although more people were there).
A quick stop at a copperpot makery and jade factory were okay, but I could have done without.
The highlight though was the visit at the wall. Again, because the driver was quick, we reached before noon. The Mutianyu part of the wall was magnificent and not many were there. The guide took all the time and also took great pictures for me.
The lunch, excellent choices by the driver, was tasty.
Overall, every dollar well spent! The guide spoke perfect English and was pleasant company.
I will recommend this trip to anyone and should I be in beijing again (I come to China 6-8 times a year), I will definitely book another tour.
