Had a nice day with a very accommodating guide and driver.
I mentioned to the guide that I was interested in seeing how people live, so he arranged an hour for a pedi-cab tour through back streets. It was great. Due to language limitations, he didn\'t make it clear until the end of the day that we owed 150 RMB per pedi-cab. Price seemed high, but it was a memorable highlight of the day.
The guide was flexible and accommodating enough to take my family to Tiger Hill, which I had read about in my guide book. I\'m really glad that we went. It should be part of the tour!
Addendum: I forgot to mention the part about going to Zhouzhuang. It was great, but crowded on a Saturday. I would recommend trying not to go on a weekend.
