Day 1: Beijing Arrival Our tour guide will meet you at airport, and then transfer you to the hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day. Day 2: Beijing (Breakfast & Chinese Lunch) Join-in coach tour to visit Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and Summer Palace. - Tiananmen Square: The largest city square in the world. - Forbidden City: The largest imperial palace in China during the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years. - Temple of Heaven: The place where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's bless of the whole nation. - Summer Palace: The largest and best-preserved royal garden in China with a history of over 800 years. Day 3: Beijing -> Xian (Breakfast & Chinese Lunch) Join-in coach tour to visit Badaling Great Wall and Ming Tomb. Take overnight train Z19 Dep 9:18PM - Arr 8:19AM to Xian. - Great Wall: One of the seven wonders in the world and the symbol of China. - Ming Tomb: They are the best preserved ancient imperial tombs largest in scale, and with most numerous emperors buried there in China. Day 4: Xian (lunch) Upon arrival, be met at railway station and transfered to the hotel. Take full day time to visit History Museum, Ancient City Wall and the Grand Mosque. - History Museum: This houses an impressive collection of artifacts from the Silk Road as well as other relics from the Song, Ming and Qing dynasties. - City Wall: an extension of the old Tang Dynasty structure, boasting the most complete city wall that survives through Chinese history. - Grand Mosque: With more than 1200 years' history, the mosque is one of the four grand Islamic mosques in China. It is really well worth a trip to see the Great Mosque, not only for its history but also for its particular design of mixed architecture – combining traditional Muslim and Chinese styles. It is among the four most important mosques in China. Day 5: Xian (Breakfast & Chinese Lunch) Today you will have a day tour to Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses, Wild Goose Pagoda and Banpo Museum. - Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses: This incredible 2000 year-old army of life-sized warriors, each one unique, is part of the underground tomb of the Emperor Qin. Well over 7000 figures were drawn up in full battle array in several large pits. Many of the figures, including soldiers, archers, horses and chariots, have been restored, and the repairs and excavations continue at the site where you can see both repaired and broken warriors in a truly impressive display. There is also an excellent museum, including bronze chariots unearthed nearby, and a film about the history and discovery of the tomb. It is about 35 km from Xian. - Wild Goose Pagoda: The pagoda where widely renowned Master Unsung (Monk Trip taka) stored his classics brought from India. - Banpo: It is a village that existed some 6,000 years ago near Xian in the Shaanxi Province of China. Artifacts that have been unearthed from the Banpo site are all that remains of this prehistoric clan-based community. The Day 6: Train to Yichang (Breakfast) Be transfered to railway station for Train No. K626 Dep 8:50AM - Arr 23:55PM to Yichang. We will arrange to meet you at Yichang railway station and take you to the Cruise pier to board your 4* Yangtze River cruiser. NOTE: You need to arrange your own meal on the train and no guide service on it.
Day 7: Yangtze River (Chinese Lunch & Chinese Dinner) Shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam Site (8:30-10:30am). -Three Gorges Dam: the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man and it has been a dream for several generations of Chinese people. It will be 2,335 meters long, 185 meters high, 18 meters wide on the top and 130 meters wide at the bottom. The tourists can get access to the top of the dam and enjoy different kinds of photo opportunities. Day 8: Yangtze River (Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner) Shore excursion to Shennong Stream (8:00am-12:30pm). -Shennong Stream: It is another tributary of the Yangtze River, and its fast-flowing, crystal clear water runs southwards through deep gorges. The stream races past large and small karst caves, flocks of swallows, sheer cliffs, deep gorges, waterfalls, three-colored springs, rapids, the ancient plank path, a suspended coffin in the cliff, groups of ancient tombs and marvelous karst formations.
Day 9: Yangtze River (Breakfast, Chinese Lunch, Chinese Dinner) Shore excurison to Fengdu Ghost City (08:30-10:30). -Fengdu is where the devil lives: according to Chinese legend. They say that spirits go to heaven, and evil goes to Fengdu. The town is overlooked by Ming Shan Hill, home of Tianzi, the King of the Dead. The whole place has an eerie feel to it with deserted streets, tower blocks, empty shops and banks. The only people here are those who make a living from visiting cruise boats. Day10: Chongqing (Breakfast) Arrives in Chongqing at 9:00am around, we will transfer you from dock to Jiangbei Airport to connect your own departure flight to next destination. Farewell.
