1, Are you Journalist or diplomat?
2, We can arrange the train from Xian to Xining, but we cannot promise the train from Xining to Lhasa, and we suggest you to take flight from Xian to Lhasa directly, because the train ticket is very very difficult to get, so we cannot promise that.
3, What's your hotel budget? 5 star, 4 star or 3 star?

Day 1: Arrival in Beijing
Be met & transferred to your hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day

Day 2: Bengjing sightseeing 
Full day trip to Tian'anmen SquareForbidden City, silk store and Temple of Heaven. Enjoy the Chinese Acrobatic Show in the evening.
Forbidden City: The largest imperial palace in China during the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years.
Visit scenic spots: 1. The hall and the courtyard of supreme harmony, 2. The meridian gate, 3. the hall of supreme harmony, 4. the hall of complete harmony, 5. the hall of preserving harmony, 6. the huge of stone carving, 7. the hall of union, 8. the palace of earthly tranquility, 9. the imperial garden, etc.
Temple of Heaven: The place where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's blessings on the whole nation.
Visit scenic spots: 1. the hall of prayer for good harvest, 2. red stairway bridge, 3. the imperial vault of heaven, 4. echo wall, 5. triple sound stone, 6. the circular mound altar, etc.

Day 3: Beijing sightseeing 
Full day trip to the Great WallJade MarketMing Tomb.
Great Wall: One of the seven wonders in the world and the symbol of China (60 miles away from downtown, about one and half hour's drive).
Visit scenic spots: Badaling Geat Wall, Badaling fortress, beacon-towers, "looking-toward beijing stone", etc.

Ming Tomb: The only underground tomb of the thirteen tombs of the emperors in the Ming Dynasty.
Visit scenic spots: 1.ling en gate, 2.ling en palace, 3.soul tower, 4.the great red gate, 5.the stele pavilion, etc.

Day 4: Beijing / Xi'an
Visit Summer Palace in the morning and take afternoon flight to Xi'an. Upon arrival, be met at airport and transfer to fixed hotel.

Day 5: Xi'an sightseeing
Full day trip to Terracotta Warriors and HorsesBig Wild Goose PagodaProvincial History Museum and have a wonderful Tang Dynasty Dinner show in the evening.
Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses: The greatest archaeological findings of the century: the army of terra-cotta warriors and the bronze chariots entombed in vast underground vaults at emperor Qin's tomb.
- Provincial Museum: One of the main museums in China which holds numerous unearthed cultural relics of China.
Wild Goose Pagoda: The pagoda where widely renowned Master Xuanzang (Monk Tripitaka) stored his classics brought from India.

Day 6: Xi'an sightseeing
Full day trip to Xi'an City WallGreat Mosque and have a glimpse of Bell Tower and Drum Tower, the landmarks of this city.
Bell Tower: The emblem of Xian city.
Ancient City Wall: An extension of the old Tang Dynasty structure boasting the most complete city wall that survives through Chinese long history.

Day 7: Xi'an / Lhasa 
Taking a flight to Lhasa and you will be met by our professional guide and then be escorted to the hotel for check-in. For the rest of the day, we highly suggest you have some rest at the hotel to get used to the high altitude.

Day 8: Lhasa

After breakfast, our guide and driver will meet you at the hotel lobby and transfer you to the Potala Palace, the first destination of this Lhasa to Everest Base Camp group tour. It was founded in the seventh century, and now becomes a place for Dalai Lama to live and handle religious and administrative affairs. In the afternoon, we will continue our Lhasa small group tour to the Jokhang Temple, which is the holiest site of the Tibetan Buddhism with a history of over 1,300 years. After that, our guide will show you around the Barkor Street where you can buy some handicrafts of local features.

You will have a welcome dinner at a renowned local restaurant this night to have a taste of typical Tibetan flavor.

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner
Accommodation: YAK Hotel (or other similar Hotel) 

Day 9: Lhasa

After breakfast, you will be taken to the Drepung Monasteryby a comfortable drive. Seen from afar, this grand white building complex is like a giant pile of rice leaning against the hillside. You can have a full view of the Lhasa City when climbing to the top. After visiting there, we will continue our Tibet small group tour to the Sera Monastery, which was built in 1419 and still preserves ancient murals and tens of thousands of Buddha statues. The debate of Buddhist doctrines is the other highlight of Sera Monastery, which usually takes place during 15:30 - 17:00 from Monday to Saturday.

Day 10: Lhasa - Gyangtse - Shigatse

After breakfast, our guide and driver will come to get you at the hotel lobby, and then we will head for the second biggest city in Tibet - Shigatse. During the journey, we will pass by the vast farmland of Nyang Chu Valley, sapphire-like Yamdrok Yumtso Lake, and the pure Kharola Glacier. We will stop by at the famous Kumbum Monastery in Gyangtse in the midway.

Meals: Western buffet breakfast
Accommodation: Manasarovar Hotel (or other similar Hotel) 

Day 11:  Shigatse - Lhatse - Dingri - Rongbuk Monastery

Today, we will drive along the Friendship Way westwards from Shigatse to Tingri via Lhatse. Upon arrival, we will continue our trip along the gravel road to the Rongbuk Monastery, located at an altitude of 5,000 meters (16,400 feet) at the foot of the Mt. Everest. If it is clear, we can have a distant view of four mountains namely Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Everest, Mt. Qowowuyag, and Mt. Mayalu along the way, all of which are of a height of more than 8,000 meters (26,200 feet) above the sea level.

Meals: Western buffet breakfast
Accommodation: Rongbuk Monastery Tent or Guest House

 

Day 12: Rongbuk Monastery - Everest Base Camp (E.B.C) - Dingri - Shigatse

This morning, we will get up early to enjoy the sunrise over the Mt. Everest at Rongpuk Monastery. After that, we will hike up or take a shuttle bus to the E.B.C. and then trek for another a few minutes to the viewing platform of the Mt. Everest to enjoy the splendid scene.

When today's Mt. Everest exploration is over, we will drive back to Shigaste to stay overnight.

Tips: Due to the limited conditions, meals are not provided at tents or hostels near the E.B.C, but you can buy some food at the nearby booths and the average cost for a meal is CNY 30-50 per person.

Accommodation: Manasarovar Hotel (or other similar Hotel) 

Day 13: Shigatse to Lhasa

Today, we will drive back to the hotel in Lhasa for your leaving flight or train on the next day. Before leaving Shigatse, we will pay a visit to the Tashilhunpo Monastery, the living place of Panchen Lama after the 4th Panchen (1567 - 1662) took charge of the temple. It also enshrines the largest copper Buddha statue in the world with a height of 26.2 meters (86.0 feet).

Meals: Western buffet breakfast
Accommodation: YAK Hotel (or other similar Hotel) 

 

Day 14: Lhasa to Shanghai

Your 1-week Tibet tour package concludes today. Please take your entire luggage to check out the hotel. Our guide and driver will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to the airport or train station. Wish you a nice journey.

It is very very very hard to book ticket of the train from Beijing or Xian to Lhasa, I’m afraid we couldn’t get train ticket for you. so we suggest you taking flight instead of train.
