Xian Tours
Click for more detailsI strongly recommend this tour! I was working in Shanghai and wasn't sure what to expect of traveling solo in China. This private guided tour gave me exactly what I wanted: all logistics taken care of so I could just relax and enjoy what Xi'an has to offer. The Terra Cotta Warriors are some of the coolest things I've seen in China, and I thought Xi'an, with its arching trees and city wall, was beautiful. My guide spoke English very well, and she provided exactly the kind of color commentary that makes site-seeing more interesting. Some additional things to expect: In this tour I learned that there are China-themed restaurants that exist just to indulge tourists. The food is average at best, you're surrounded by other tourists, and there's an unfortunate assumption that you can't handle chopsticks. The tour guide will also want to take you to some silk, jade or terra cotta warrior "factories" or a "tea house." At these places, they share some educational info, and then they try and sell you stuff, and they don't negotiate much on price. Tour companies can offer better prices on tours like this thanks to arrangements they make with these centrally-run "factories." My advice is to not resist the factory visits as it isn't your tour guide's fault that the company expects them to go there. The tours are actually interesting when you look at them as learning opportunities, and once the salespeople figure out you're not buying anything, they show you the exit pretty quickly. All in all, it was an interesting and memorable weekend. Based on my great experience in Xi'an, I used Chinatour.net the very next weekend for a Beijing trip. Another great tour!

Click for more detailsThis was the first tour I took in China after working in Shanghai for a few months. I'm not too familiar with travelling around China so was somewhat anxious when I set out to fly to Xian. Those concerns were quickly put to rest when I arrived and met my tour guide at the airport. The entire trip was well orchestrated... everywhere we went I was expected. Since I was on the tour by myself, I felt somewhat pampered by all the personal attention. The sites we saw were great. Xian is a beautiful city. While I visited during Spring Festival, it was not as cold as I expected it to be. I could imagine what the city and surrounding area looks like in late spring. Of course, learning about China's history was the best part of the trip. The tour guide spoke English very well, and was well qualified (he majored in Chinese culture at university in Xian). We had extra time at the end of the tour before my flight back, and he took me to a tea house. It was a fantastic end to a great tour. I highly recommend this tour. I'm looking forward to going on more tours with ChinaTour.Net.

Xian Tours
My 2 day tour of Xian was simply wonderful. Everything was well organised, my guide spoke excellent English and was most helpful and courteous. The Prince International Hotel was an excellent choice as it is in a fantastic position close to the Bell Tower, shops and City Wall. The room and service were very good. The Terrecotta Warriors were breathtaking and I enjoyed walking around the Muslim area looking at the markets and having a meal. I can not recommend this company highly enough and this tour is certainly one of the best I have ever been on. Value for money.

Xian Tours
In organising this tour I had several emails to and from the tour company. At all times my emails, questions and queries were dealt with very quickly With regard to the tour it was brilliantly organised and so convenient for us to be collected from the airport and chauffeured to each site. The trip was truly excellent. We enjoyed it so much. Our tour guide Ma Linna was so professional, friendly, informative, helpful and attentive. She was really brilliant. You The driver of the bus was also so nice, polite and helpful. The lunches were very satisfactory and we really enjoyed the Tang Dynasty show. That was a real highlight of the tour. Of course the Terracotta Warriors were very impressive. Simply breathtaking. We enjoyed a generous amount of time here. Overall we really enjoyed your tour and thought it was brilliantly arranged and excellent value. If I have any friends coming to China I woudl most definetly recommend your company and the 2 day tour of Xian.
