When we decided to take two or three days to visit Beijing we looked at all of the options including trying it alone.....Coming from Canada I would never try this without a tour......Our first day covered Forbidden city, Temple of heaven and Summer Palace as well as a sik factory with was a refreshing switch.....The traffic was busy, the places were very busy and lineups were long being on a favorite long weekend and the tour guides made sure all was seen in a relatively reasonable amount of time. The tour guides are friendly and courteous and very helpful.....The prices were reasonable too....The lunches are good and the attractions visited were very high quality. I would never have seen as much as we did without the tour guides.
