Review of 2 Days Xi'an Coach Tour Package by Sekar

On day 1, we visited Banpo Neolithic Village Museum, Terrocotta & Lacquer furniture art factory and Terrocotta Warriors and Horses Museum. Our tour guide was Mr. Leo and he picked us from hotel on time at 9am. An air conditioned van was arranged for the trip. Mr. Leo was very kind and knowledgeable person and his English was quite good. He explained the history and importance of the places very well. The entrance tickets were covered by the tour company for both museums. The Terrocotta warriors museum is a must see place and we were able to visit all three pits in few hours though the places were crowded due to summer vacation. The lunch was arranged at the museum and the food was in good quality. Overall, the tour on day 1 can be rated as ‘excellent’. On day 2, we visited Shaanxi History Museum, Big Wild Goose Pagoda, City Wall, Bell and Drum towers and Muslim street. Another tour guide picked us from the hotel at 8am and he took us first to the history museum. We had to stand in a queue for more than two hours to get the entrance tickets and the cost was not covered by the tour company. It could have been better if the tickets were pre-arranged and the cost was covered in the tour package. The History museum is a must see place and it gave us an idea about the history of four dynasties. Later, we visited Big Wild Goose Pagoda and saw this place only from outside as the Pagoda was under maintenance. The lunch was arranged in a restaurant near Tang Paradise Dancing Performance Theatre and the food was in good quality. We have then visited the City wall and the entrance ticket for this place was covered by the tour company. City wall is an important place to visit in Xi’an and we visited the East Gate. We have then visited Bell and Drum towers only from outside and finally walked through the Muslim street, where people can purchase souvenirs and various snacks and food. The 2nd day tour ended at 2:30pm and it can be rated as ‘average’.
