Our hotel was very nice. The problem was the tour guide and the fact that it was a national holiday. When we booked the tour we were not told that many of the tourist attractions would be crowded for the national holidays. Our guide was mediocre and the crowds were horrendous. Do NOT ever travel during the national holidays in China. Also I feel that our guide made no effort to find us alternative selections for the times that should have been spent in the palaces that were closed.
