Day 1: Arrive in Lhasa. (L, D)
The guide will meet you at Konggar Airport or train station, and transfer you to Lhasa city. On the way, you'll get greeted by Nie Tang Budda, a Budda image engraved in the mountain face. After arrive in Lhasa, rest and acclimatize overnight in Lhasa.
Day 2: Lhasa city sightseeing. (B, L, D)
Full day city tour of Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, and Barkhor Street. Overnight in Lhasa
- The Potala Palace: The most imposing attraction in Lhasa. One of architectural wonders of the world contains 13 storeys tall and thousands of rooms.We kindly suggest you take taxi to the top of the palace which costs about 10 and then walk down after your visiting.
- The Jokhang Temple: It is 1300 years old and is one of Tibet's holiest shrines. It was built to commemorate the marriage of the the Tang princess Wencheng to King Songtsen Gampo, and houses a pure gold statue of the Buddha Sakyamuni brought to Tibet by the princess.
- Barkhor Street: It is essentially a pilgrim circuit that proceeds clockwise around the periphery of the Jokhang Temple. It is also a hive of market activity, an astounding pilgrim jamboree, and a wonderful introduction to Tibet.
Day 3: Lhasa / Shigatse
After breakfast, we will head for Yatung, a boder town near India and Bhutan. the main shooting attractions are Yamdrok Yumtso Lake(one of the scared lake in Tibet), Karuola glacer(typical continental glacier), stay overnight at Shigatse.
Day 4: Shigatse
today our journey will visit famous attractions in Shigatse. first ,we will spend about an hour in visiting Tashilhunpo monastery, built in 1447. Jampa temple dedicated to the Buddha is the world's largest bronze Buddha, 28 meters high. Then visit Palcho Monastery. Stay overnight at Shigatse.
Day 5: Shigatse / Lhasa
this morning we will drive to Lhasa and then sightsee other highlights in Lhasa involving Sera monastey and Drepung Monastery. overnight at Lhasa.
Day 6: Lhasa / Nagchu
After breakfast, we will head for Namtso Lake, a famous place for its Tibetan Buddhism. along the way, we will visit the famous Yangbajain Geothermal Power Station, overlooking Nianqing Tanggula mountain and shooting Pastoral areas of northern Tibet grassland and Namtso Lake. overnight at Namtso.
Day 7: sightseeign Namtso (B L D)
mainly shoot the sunrise on the Namtso Lake. then return to Lhasa and enjoy yourselves in Lhasa city. the rest day is free and you can take a walk in the city and buy some souvenirs for your friends. overnight at Lhasa.
Day 8:Lhasa airport/train station dropping off (B).
Morning Lhasa airport or train station dropping off, the time come to say your farewells to your guide and driver, end the trip.
