Day 1: Beijing Arrival Upon arrival, be met at PEK airport and transfered to Beijing Xuanwumen Hotel or ShaTan Hotel. Free at leisure for the rest of the day. Day 2: Beijing (B, L) Join-in coach tour to visit Temple of Heaven, Forbidden City, Tiananmen Square and Summer Palace.
- Tiananmen Square: The largest city square in the world. - Forbidden City: The largest imperial palace in China during the Ming and Qing dynasties with a history of around 600 years. - Temple of Heaven: The place where the ancient emperors used to pray for the God's bless of the whole nation. - Summer Palace: The largest and best-preserved royal garden in China with a history of over 800 years. Day 3: Beijing -> Xian (B, L) Join-in coach tour to visit Badaling Great Wall and Ming Tomb. Take overnight train soft sleeper Z19 Dep 9:18PM - Arr 8:19AM to Xian.
- Great Wall: One of the seven wonders in the world and the symbol of China. - Ming Tomb: They are the best preserved ancient imperial tombs largest in scale, and with most numerous emperors buried there in China. Day 4: Xian - Chongqing (B, L) Upon arrival, be met at railway station and transfered to take a private visit of Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses and Ancient City Wall. Take a late afternoon flight to Chongqing. Upon arrival, be met at airport and transfer to dock and board the Yangtze river cruiser.
- Terra-cotta Warriors and Horses: This incredible 2000 year-old army of life-sized warriors, each one unique, is part of the underground tomb of the Emperor Qin. Well over 7000 figures were drawn up in full battle array in several large pits. - City Wall: an extension of the old Tang Dynasty structure, boasting the most complete city wall that survives through Chinese history. Day 5: Yangtze River (B, L, D) Shore excurison to Fengdu Ghost City (08:30-10:30).
-Fengdu is where the devil lives: according to Chinese legend. They say that spirits go to heaven, and evil goes to Fengdu. The town is overlooked by Ming Shan Hill, home of Tianzi, the King of the Dead. The whole place has an eerie feel to it with deserted streets, tower blocks, empty shops and banks. The only people here are those who make a living from visiting cruise boats. Day 6: Yangtze River (B, L, D) Shore excursion to Shennong Stream (8:00am-12:30pm).
-Shennong Stream: It is another tributary of the Yangtze River, and its fast-flowing, crystal clear water runs southwards through deep gorges. The stream races past large and small karst caves, flocks of swallows, sheer cliffs, deep gorges, waterfalls, three-colored springs, rapids, the ancient plank path, a suspended coffin in the cliff, groups of ancient tombs and marvelous karst formations. Day 7: Yichang - Shanghai (B, L) Shore excursion to Three Gorges Dam Site (8:30-10:30am). Get off the cruiser after lunch. Be met by local driver at dock, holding a sign with your name on it, and transfered to airport for flight to Shanghai. Upon arrival, be met at SHA airport and transfer to Classical Hotel, Shanghai.
-Three Gorges Dam: the largest water conservancy project ever undertaken by man and it has been a dream for several generations of Chinese people. It will be 2,335 meters long, 185 meters high, 18 meters wide on the top and 130 meters wide at the bottom. The tourists can get access to the top of the dam and enjoy different kinds of photo opportunities. Day 8: Shanghai (B, L) Guided you to visit waterfront bund, Yu Garden and its market, Shanghai Musuem, Oriental Pearl TV tower and Nanjing Pedestrian Street. Day 9: Shanghai departure (B) Send you to airport for your departure.
