Stayed at the Beijing Airport Garden Hotel and was delighted with the Hotel, a nice shuttle ride from the airport, nice staff at the front desk, they help me with directions to see the city, and very confortable room. I will recommend it to all my friends, great value for your money. The breakfast was excellent. This hotel is doing everything right...

I only stayed one night to catch the plane second day. The hotel looks dirty and the room is smelly. It jus does not match with the 3 start standard. But the bed is clean...

I have never written a hotel review before, but this place was a horrible experience! I got off the plane at 11 pm and got the hotel by midnight and not in the mood for any funny business. I ordered a king room the day before and I went into my room and found two twin beds. I had to go back down to the desk and tell them. They gave me a king bed finally (as I paid for from the start) The room smelled like someone died in it. I was so tired I didnt want to go back down and ask them to change it so I opened a window and dealt with it. I even got the upgraded room and they put mne a room that faced the highway and all i heard all night long was the honking of horns and traffic. The next day, I asked them to get me a taxi and a guy walked up in a sport coat. I asked him and the front desk if he was REALLY a taxi driver and both said yes. Walking out to his car it was clearly a car-for-hire. I reminded the front desk on my way back into the hotel after refusing to get in the car I asked them clearly for a taxi (da di) not some guy who will charge me 250 RMB for a short jaunt down the street. If you need a taxi, walk out the hotel to the left of the entrance and go flag one down. They advertise they have a pool, fitness center, etc., but none of these are in the hotel, you have to walk about a quarter mile to get to all of these locations where you still have to pay for the facilities and they are not affiliated with the hotel. All they have on location is a resturant and a cafe. Luckily I was only in Beijing for 2 nights to put up with this scam. Read all the reviews before staying here, they speak the truth about this dump...

Just say "BU" (NO!) to the Airport Garden Hotel. We stayed here for a short 4-hour lay-over between the train from Shanghai and our air departure from Beijing, thank goodness it was not overnight. Other reviews note the shuttle bus which was in fact good from the airport TO the hotel; however the return back to the airport was poor with the driver just dumping us out - no help with the luggage, etc. As everyone else has noted, the carpets are filthy, the a.c. is weak at best, and the room dingy. The best part was the lunch menu with amusing "Chinglish" translations of the food items. Travel desks at the Beijing Airport represented other close-to-the-airport hotels, which even for a few dollars more would have been a more pleasant experience...

Two good things about the Hotel was that the shuttle was good but checking out was even better. Carpets filthy, Damp in room with a musty smell. room decor was tatty and the bed stunk. Corridors were dark as lighting was partial and basiclly needed a good overhaul. No or little air con so if you opened window, you ran the risk of robbery and burst ear drums from the main road and airport traffic. One of the worst hotels I have been forced to stay in...

Pick up arrangements from the airport were excellent and smooth. Drive takes 10 minutes. Checking efficient. General areas of hotel have been refurbished and are very good. Room was clean and overall facilities were good, however, the rooms and corridor are in dire need of refurbishment (paint chipped, tiles cracked, vanish peeling). OK for a hotel in China at this price. Have stayed in much worse. For a one night stay either on arriving or leaving Beijing airport this hotel is an excellent choice and is good value. Recommend for one night stops...

The hotel was fine--clean and nice teak panelling in our room. Though we arrived in Beijing after 10:00 pm, a free shuttle was waiting for us at the airport for the short ride to the hotel. Staff was friendly and spoke English. This was not a luxury hotel, but it was a nice quiet place to sleep for 8 hours before catching our morning continuation flight. The room temperature was nice for sleeping--about 72 degrees F. I would stay here again if I needed a transit hotel in Beijing. There was a prompt wake-up call service, and also a convenient and timely shuttle to the airport...

Very Bad hotel, I will strongly say not to stay in this hotel, carpets are torn, room stink and they shutdown air conditiner at 12 night and say open your window. I had very bad experience as taxi cannot find this and then very rude staff and ugly hotel...

Gloomy and dirty. Carpet torn and had not been vacuumed in a very long time. Used food wrappers under the beds. Close to the airport and the shuttle was prompt...

We had an extremely rude clerk at the front desk "greet" us. Not uncommon in China, but still it puts one in a bad mood. The carpet in our room was DISGUSTINGLY dirty, but at least they provided us with soft slippers so we could avoid direct contact with the floor. The good thing was the shuttle bus they provided early in the morning...

Very close to the hotel, friendly, efficient and fit for purpose. The three of us spent a very peaceful night in a well-appointed if shabby room before taking the helpful shuttle service to the airport. Just what was needed...

Room musty and a bit dirty, plane was delayed 4 hours and we arrived at 2am. Taxi unable to find hotel, good thing I had the hotel phone number. Shuttle only runs until 12midnight, but there were \"bait and switch\" taxi drivers in the airport lobby with signs for Airport Garden Hotel, almost got hooked into a 100RMB ride, but knew better and went and stood in official taxi cab line. Clerk took forever to sign us in. Unable to obtain any drinks from the refrigerator in the lobby at 6:45AM because they don\'t unlock the machine until after 7am. Breakfast not worth it at 45RMB. Shuttle ride okay to the airport, but they did not leave on time, as they were waiting on other customers. Then they drop you off 2 floors below the airport where you are descended upon by pirates who try to grab your luggage. It took quite some time to find the departure floor at the airport. Also, no hot water in the shower at 2am...bummer. Only good thing....good price for Beijing and closeness to the airport. Next time I would pay $20 more and stay at the Eastern Air Hotel at the airport, it\'s much nicer...

A Counter for the shuttle is there!!! And easy to find!! Friendly service at the airport. The Llobby looks good, room (socalled suite) doesn't match minimum expectations. Smelled terribly, bathroom wears heavy signs of wetness. ceiling partial black!. Besides the luggage porter staff not enough engaged. Seems to be a government run hotel. Dinner lousy, staff uninterested. Paying for that breakfast îs a joke. Shuttle service very good. 6 minutes to departure. Did not try spa area. Massage until 2.00 am???..

I arrived from Tokyo in the evening at the Beijing airport and searched for the free schuttle... no desk at all! The hotel has no desk at the airport contrary to what is written on this website. I was so upset I went to an other hotel around the airport.....

This hotel is AWESOME for its closeness to the airport! So basically if you need to catch a flight the next day and don't want to worry about traffic, then this is your stop! I'll admit that there English isn't that great, but what can you expect? Are they suppose to be fluent in every single language? Their English is basic, and isn't so bad. I mean they try. The hotel was also clean. They have nicer rooms if you wish to pay more. Some things I would like to see in this hotel are some INTERNET ACCESS. I really believe that is a must. Also, a menu of the food in English would be great, or even some pictures at that. Overall, for a quick stop at a cheap price, stay here. If you are staying in Beijing for touring and things like that, stay somewhere else cause there is nothing around this hotel. hope my review helps you...

Stayed at the Beijing Airport Garden Hotel, from the 6th to the 7th of March 2006, the checkin was slow as no one spoke English, young and inexperienced personnel, room was clean. If you want to use roomservice, the menue is only in Chinese - The hotel lives up to a 2 star hotel with 2 star service. Not recommendable...

For convenience to catch an early morning connecting flight, the Beijing Airport Garden Hotel is just fine. A complimentary breakfast would have been nice, especially given the cost. My room was stifling hot (maybe 90F), even with the heat turned off, but that was probably just the luck of the draw. I'm staying again on my return in a week, so will know if all rooms are unbearably hot or just the one I was given...

This hotel was fine. Nothing too fantastic but a decent value at the price. We had a problem registering as we requested a king sized bed and they gave us twins. A call to the managment changed the room. Good shuttle service...

In summary, I found it quite OK. What I liked: * People were (mostly) friendly, and spoke English at the reception desk * The room was OK, and the bed fine * The pick-up and drop-off service was very convenient What I did not like: * There should be an option to book a non-smoker room, and that should be located in an area away from smoker rooms: In the evening, it started to smell really smoky in my room, even though I had the door closed all the time - just because everybody in my hallway was smoking. The smell crept through the door, or the air condition, or whatever. * They could be a little more generous with toilet paper and store one extra roll in the bathroom. I absolutely dislike to run out of that in a hotel room, and it's so unneccessary! * A few signs to certain facilities could be put up - one had to ask even where the restaurant was. And even though the ad in the lift boasts that there is a pool table, etc., without hunting for it or asking, there is no way of finding it. * Also meal times could be announced somewhere at reception. I deliberately asked what breakfast hours were, and was told that it starts at 6am. Not provided with an end time, I of course assumed that one could have breakfast any time (at least before lunch). But when I arrived at 9:30, I was laughed at for trying to find breakfast so late.....
