Stayed at the Beijing Airport Garden Hotel and was delighted with the Hotel, a nice shuttle ride from the airport, nice staff at the front desk, they help me with directions to see the city, and very confortable room. I will recommend it to all my friends, great value for your money. The breakfast was excellent. This hotel is doing everything right.

| review written by Brian Morrisey | Date Added: 10/21/2009 | | Beijing Airport Garden Hotel I have never written a hotel review before, but this place was a horrible experience! I got off the plane at 11 pm and got the hotel by midnight and not in the mood for any funny business. I ordered a king room the day before and I went into my room and found two twin beds. I had to go back down to the desk and tell them. They gave me a king bed finally (as I paid for from the start) The room smelled like someone died in it. I was so tired I didnt want to go back down and ask them to change it so I opened a window and dealt with it. I even got the upgraded room and they put mne a room that faced the highway and all i heard all night long was the honking of horns and traffic. The next day, I asked them to get me a taxi and a guy walked up in a sport coat. I asked him and the front desk if he was REALLY a taxi driver and both said yes. Walking out to his car it was clearly a car-for-hire. I reminded the front desk on my way back into the hotel after refusing to get in the car I asked them clearly for a taxi (da di) not some guy who will charge me 250 RMB for a short jaunt down the street. If you need a taxi, walk out the hotel to the left of the entrance and go flag one down. They advertise they have a pool, fitness center, etc., but none of these are in the hotel, you have to walk about a quarter mile to get to all of these locations where you still have to pay for the facilities and they are not affiliated with the hotel. All they have on location is a resturant and a cafe. Luckily I was only in Beijing for 2 nights to put up with this scam. Read all the reviews before staying here, they speak the truth about this dump.

| review written by Henry Schwake | Date Added: 06/07/2007 | | Beijing Airport Garden Hotel Just say "BU" (NO!) to the Airport Garden Hotel. We stayed here for a short 4-hour lay-over between the train from Shanghai and our air departure from Beijing, thank goodness it was not overnight. Other reviews note the shuttle bus which was in fact good from the airport TO the hotel; however the return back to the airport was poor with the driver just dumping us out - no help with the luggage, etc. As everyone else has noted, the carpets are filthy, the a.c. is weak at best, and the room dingy. The best part was the lunch menu with amusing "Chinglish" translations of the food items. Travel desks at the Beijing Airport represented other close-to-the-airport hotels, which even for a few dollars more would have been a more pleasant experience.

| review written by Andrew Bracewell | Date Added: 01/26/2007 | | Beijing Airport Garden Hotel Two good things about the Hotel was that the shuttle was good but checking out was even better.
Carpets filthy, Damp in room with a musty smell. room decor was tatty and the bed stunk.
Corridors were dark as lighting was partial and basiclly needed a good overhaul. No or little air con so if you opened window, you ran the risk of robbery and burst ear drums from the main road and airport traffic.
One of the worst hotels I have been forced to stay in.

| review written by Brian Phillips | Date Added: 10/31/2006 | | Beijing Airport Garden Hotel Pick up arrangements from the airport were excellent and smooth. Drive takes 10 minutes. Checking efficient. General areas of hotel have been refurbished and are very good. Room was clean and overall facilities were good, however, the rooms and corridor are in dire need of refurbishment (paint chipped, tiles cracked, vanish peeling). OK for a hotel in China at this price. Have stayed in much worse. For a one night stay either on arriving or leaving Beijing airport this hotel is an excellent choice and is good value. Recommend for one night stops.

| review written by Deborah Uchida | Date Added: 09/07/2006 | | Beijing Airport Garden Hotel The hotel was fine--clean and nice teak panelling in our room. Though we arrived in Beijing after 10:00 pm, a free shuttle was waiting for us at the airport for the short ride to the hotel. Staff was friendly and spoke English. This was not a luxury hotel, but it was a nice quiet place to sleep for 8 hours before catching our morning continuation flight. The room temperature was nice for sleeping--about 72 degrees F. I would stay here again if I needed a transit hotel in Beijing. There was a prompt wake-up call service, and also a convenient and timely shuttle to the airport.

| review written by Denise Leung | Date Added: 05/07/2006 | | Beijing Airport Garden Hotel We had an extremely rude clerk at the front desk "greet" us. Not uncommon in China, but still it puts one in a bad mood. The carpet in our room was DISGUSTINGLY dirty, but at least they provided us with soft slippers so we could avoid direct contact with the floor. The good thing was the shuttle bus they provided early in the morning.

| review written by Ian Mason | Date Added: 04/27/2006 | | Beijing Airport Garden Hotel Very close to the hotel, friendly, efficient and fit for purpose. The three of us spent a very peaceful night in a well-appointed if shabby room before taking the helpful shuttle service to the airport. Just what was needed.
