The Suitcase House has four bedrooms, each with a separate bathroom, and an in-house sauna. A number of sliding doors may either partition the house into several rooms or turn it into a larger integrated space. An elevator may take you to the flat plastered roof to savour your self-prepared barbeques while watching the Great Wall in its grandeur.

The Furniture House has four bedrooms, two of which have built-in bathrooms. The living room communicates with the dining room. Sitting in the open-air courtyard at the center of the house, you sure have a sense of having the panorama of mountains at your fingertips.
Each of the four walls of the house has a door, which hides a wardrobe behind to keep the space spruce and complete. Both the appearance and interior space with their consistent simplicity and liveliness render the house into a modernistic Siheyuan (traditional house with a square courtyard in the Beijing area).

The "See" and "Seen" House has four cosy bedrooms and an open kitchen. The host bedroom has a built-in bathroom while the other three share two bathrooms. The living room on the ground floor is connected to the dining room. The bathroom in the host bedroom is walled by large glass sheets that reach the floor to let the mountain view penetrate while you are having a bath.
The No. 3 House originally had a poetic name: See & Seen. With smooth communication between the inside and the outside, the house harmoniously reconciles wide views with living privacy. People inside the house can watch the hills while watched by the hills outside. Endless pleasures are generated by seeing and being seen.
Various fashionable parties can be held here. The living room with a fireplace provides an ideal place for private gatherings, small news briefings and seminars.

The Distorted Courtyard, picturesquely arranged three storeies, two levels of open-air courtyards with a small terrace, are neatly composed. There are four bedrooms. The host bedroom on the third floor has no wall or door, just like a lonely-elevated stage. Closely connected with the outside, the bedroom has an excellent broad view.
The interior of the house is decorated in a simple and elegant way. The white walls, wooden floor and stone covering remind you of country life. You may enjoy gardening, breathing fresh air and basking in the sun on the terrace that are rare in cities.
The Distorted Courtyard is a nice venue for private meetings, small news briefings and high-level meetings. Barbeque parties and other outdoors activities can be hosted on the terrace or in the open-air courtyards.

The "Airport" has four bedrooms and a sauna with a natural stone-made bath. Three living rooms extend to different directions just like the boarding corridors at an air terminal. There is also a half-underground private room that contributes much to the polygon style.
Two walls embedded in the hillslope seem to echo the Great Wall in the distance, as if yearning for returning to nature. Behind the walls are rooms with a row of windows opening onto the hill with flowers and trees growing within your hand reach. A 14-metre-long corridor serves as a place for repose and sightseeing.

The Cantilever House has four bedrooms each with a different view, with the host bedroom and one guest room respectively having a built-in bathroom. The bedrooms are floored with light-coloured wood that is compatible with the sights and sunlight outside the windows. The light and spacious and living room is decorated in nostalgia-inspiring pink and has a balcony attached to it. An independent kitchen helps keep smoke from spreading. The Great Wall valley can be seen from the second floor terrace. The roof yard overlooks the whole Commune.
By a zigzagging path behind the Canteliver House, you may climb to the Great Wall in ten minutes. How about having a cocktail party on the ancient wall? It must be terrific.

The Bamboo Wall has six bedrooms. The host bedroom and guest rooms all have separate bathrooms. A tea room, the climax of the Bamboo Wall, is encircled by lean bamboos on four sides. While sipping tea inside, one can spot a beacon tower on the Great Wall looming through the crevices in the bamboo walls. The ten-odd-square-metre tea room hangs over water, emanating a strong spirit of Zen Buddhism. Besides the open kitchen, the living room and the dining rooms are interlinked. One of them is next to the hill, with its glass French window almost touching the grasses and trees outside. One wall of the living room is covered by a duck’s down mat, which helps fend off summer hot and winter cold. There are two stone bridges inside the house, one leading to the tea room and the other connecting the dining room and a passage to the guest rooms.

The Shared House has four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The dining room is connected to the living room. An extra-large table is especially useful when you dine with several friends.
The Shared House stresses communication and the sense of sharing. In the second floor bedroom is a row of beds. One large bathroom has two big bathtubs for you and your friend to chat while taking a bath. In the roof of the living room there is a protruding oblong-shaped glass window that makes the room transparent. The designer of the Shared House, Kanika R'Kul, is the only female architect among the 12 designers.

The Twins consists of a main house and an appended house. The entrance to the main house lies at the end of a slightly elevated stone path. The appended house is built on a ground whose left side is a bit higher. The main house is made up of four bedrooms, one living room, and one study. The bedrooms are large and high in space. The high-ceilinged living room has a fireplace. To one side of it is a concealed courtyard. The study is on the second floor, where in the roof of the bedroom’s bathroom there is an oval skylight that allows you to enjoy bathing under the starlight.
In the appended house are a dining room and a kitchen. From the dining room, you can see the Great Wall in the arms of mountains. The dining room has two large glass French windows on two sides and a small outdoor balcony where you may watch beautiful sunsets over your dinner.
Suitable activities: Private gatherings, small meetings, fashion events, open-air barbeques on the flat roof.

The Forest House has four bedrooms with the host bedroom having a built-in bathroom. The dining room and the kitchen are separated from each other. Encircled by trees, the dining room is airy and refreshing as if in the forest. It can hold ten people having dinner.
The façade of the Forest House is decorated with long glass sheets in interesting contrast with the surrounding trees. Seen from afar, the Forest House resembles a bird’s nest in a tree. In fine weather, you may luckily see squirrels bounce in the trees from the small living room.
Various parties, conferences can be held inside the house, and barbeques and private meetings can take place on the terrace.

The Split House has the best privacy among the 12 houses. Situated in front of the hills, the house has four bedrooms, two of which have built-in bathrooms. Each bedroom has a separate balcony. The living room is bright and interestingly arranged. A glass bathroom is wedged between the living room and the dining room.
Perching on a commanding height overlooking the other 11 houses, the Split House cleverly takes advantage of the hill slope to form a half-natural and half-artificial yard. The house is enclosed by rammed earth walls that are common in Western China. A brook flows through under the hall’s glass floor, giving a touch of wilderness to the house.

Courtyard Restaurant serves a variety of Chinese cuisines. It can hold 150 people at dinner or function as a meeting hall.
