 | Beijing Double Happiness Courtyard Hotel
The hotel is located in a small street, away from the traffic noise. The hotel is not so far away from the cultural center of the city, but be careful because the real distances are much more important than what you can imagine as you're reading a map of Beijing ! The price of the room is not very expensive compared to the quality of the room : fridge, tea and boiling water, nice typical chinese furnitures. The court inside the hotel is very nice, as well as the building themselves.
The only problems we had in the hotel, is a malfunction of the water flush and a big bug we had in the bathroom... The problem were soved promptly by the staff.
We also found that the bed was quite hard. It must be a traditional chinese one.
If you come to this hotel, you can discover the chinese breakfast. Be sure to confirm your wishes for the breakfast the day before. The price is cheap and the food is surprising but good. You must be hungry to eat everything. If you're travelling in couple, I'd advise you to order one traditional breakfast, and one continental one. It's a great opportunity to taste chinese traditional food.
I would like to address a special thank to all the welcome staff for the time they spent for the explanations, including the hotel manager who drove us in emergency, at the last minute, trough Beijing's traffic jams, to the central railway station, just in time to get our train ;-)
