We stayed during Aug., the hottest season of the year, we are told, but the air conditioning worked beautifully. It was only a studio, but so roomy, and with free broadband internet access, a kitchen in which to cook healthy non-restaurant food, washer and dryer, what more could one wish for? Staff were uniformly polite, friendly and helpful, especially the bell captains at the door. The maid service was excellent. The place was clean Though the website said that there would be an extra charge for a second person, the hotel didn't charge extra for the second person. And the downtown location was fantastic for those who want to see the culture and history. Some easy-to-do suggestions that would make guests' lives a lot easier: -directions to where the internet wire and outlet are should be in the guest guide or posted somewhere; -directions for the washer-dryer should be on the machine: we are unable to open the washer dryer for a whole day until the management comes and tells us that one has to wait a magic 3 1/2 minutes after one turns the machine off before the door can be opened, but that is nowhere posted on the machine! The icons on the dials are also pretty kryptic... -a supply of laudry detergent would be nice; -there should be a fuller set of dishes, chopsticks, silverware, and cookware in the kitchen--as it was we had only one rusted wok, which we didn't dare use, and one pot; -a supply of liquid dish washing soap would be nice. -the fridge door is stuck against the cabinetry and cannot be opened to the extent that shelves in the small bar fridge can be slid out and the heights adjusted so that items taller than three or four inches would fit. Someone should be able to adjust the opening in the kitchen cabinetry that contains the fridge... -at least one drawer in the kitchen cabinetry to hold the holder for silver and chopsticks would be nice... Would definitely return to this hotel, especially if they do the above...

Stayed for 5 nights in April 2006 in a deluxe room with balcony facing street. Unfortunately area construction is booming and goes 24/7 which we found disturbing at 2 am. But aside from that everything about the hotel/apartment was perfect. Walking distance to main attractions, shopping, transit and the front desk staff who had good working English were very helpful in providing directions and translation...
