Location is great! It's a great hotel and literally just outside the subway, and only one block away from the train station. It is clean and well organized.
Be ware - during the non-summer months, especially during the months of October - April, the cheap window-less room is designed to be a convection oven. The radiant heat is on, and the chillers are off. You will need to stay in other rooms to be able to open the window to stay cool. We stayed in the cheap $49 rooms during November, and couldn't stop sweating from the stiffling heat, and had to move to a room with a window to keep cool enough to sleep.
During the summer though, when the A/C \is on - these windowless rooms provide a cheap way to stay in Beijing, and not be in a youth hostel. :)
Oherwise - this is a good hotel. Close to the main attractions of downtown. Straight shot for a taxi to get to temple of heaven, and on the subway to get to tian 'an men, forbidden city, western restaurants behind the friendship store, etc...
