we enjoyed our stay, especially so during the busy national holiday week of oct. 1, staff were very courteous and hepful, thanks to front staff claire as well. the hotel is clean and the room is very homy.we would certainly book again next time. it is close to most amenities,i.e., metro, wangfujing, pearl market , 24 hr mcdonald's , dept stores, tiannanmen ,etc.

Location great, interior nice, rooms facing the breakfast, dining area are very noisy. Never mind if you are an early bird. 6AM is when the plate banging starts for sure and you need no wake up call for certain. Rooms are kind of petite for a 4 star hotel I thought. Would I stay there for another time? Maybe not!

Beijing Novotel Xinqiao Hotel
Location is great! It's a great hotel and literally just outside the subway, and only one block away from the train station. It is clean and well organized. Be ware - during the non-summer months, especially during the months of October - April, the cheap window-less room is designed to be a convection oven. The radiant heat is on, and the chillers are off. You will need to stay in other rooms to be able to open the window to stay cool. We stayed in the cheap $49 rooms during November, and couldn't stop sweating from the stiffling heat, and had to move to a room with a window to keep cool enough to sleep. During the summer though, when the A/C \is on - these windowless rooms provide a cheap way to stay in Beijing, and not be in a youth hostel. :) Oherwise - this is a good hotel. Close to the main attractions of downtown. Straight shot for a taxi to get to temple of heaven, and on the subway to get to tian 'an men, forbidden city, western restaurants behind the friendship store, etc...

It's a great hotel and literally just outside the metro station. I got the windowless room at 460RMB and have no complaint at all. In fact, I feel it was better than a window room with the sun rise and car horn at 5.30am in the morning! I had very good sleep as compared to the window room I had in Shanghai where I was woken up at 5.30am every morning. Really a business hotel standard and value for money.

Beijing Novotel Xinqiao Hotel
On discovered the room booked (US$49) had no window. Rebooked "room with a view" extra US$40. Hotel was therefore now not cheap but never mind. The main benefit of this hotel is its position and it is right next to the Metro. Hotel was well organised and clean. Outlets a little expensive but......
