Tour Itinerary

Day 1  Pick up from airport

Pick up from the Beijing Capital Aiport. The guide will be waiting for you at the exit, holding a sign with your name on it. Transfer to your hotel in Beijing.

Day 2  Beijing downtown visit

Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel, and then, drive to Tian'anmen Square, one of the largest city squares in the world. Its name literally means “Gate of Heavenly Peace”. The square witnessed the foundation of the People’s Republic of China and several important events in Chinese history.

Across the road, visit the Forbidden City, we have VIP access to enter to the largest ancient imperial palaces group in the world with 500 years history .This palace is an example of ancient Chinese architecture.( Visit the Forbidden City from south to north for about 2 hours.)

Then drive to the Temple of Heaven. Initially built in the eighteenth year of the Ming Dynasty (in 1420), the Temple of Heaven is a complex of religious buildings where the emperors came every winter solstice to worship heaven and to solemnly pray for a good harvest.

After lunch, visit Summer Palace, which is the largest and best-preserved royal garden in China. It is a blend of natural scenery and artificial landscape. The mountains, waters and architecture together form picturesque scenes that are amazingly beautiful. UNESCO declared the Summer Palace “a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design".

Back to the hotel after the tour.

Day 3  Mutianyu Great Wall and Dingling Tomb

Pick you up from your hotel, and drive about 1.5 hours to Dingling Tomb (the Underground Palace).
The Underground Palace Hall, a labyrinth palace building, is the only tomb of the thirteen Ming Tombs to be excavated. Buried here are three individuals; Emperor Wan-li (died 1620), Empress Wang (died 1620), and another Empress Wang (died 1611). which is the best-preserved Chinese imperial tomb with 500 years history. we visit the underground mausoleum for about 1.5 hour.

After lunch, we will hike the Mutianyu Great Wall, with our VIP access to enter the Mutianyu Great Wall, we drive directly to the foot of the wall, the most beautiful section of the Great Wall (less crowded than Badaling section). Travelers can choose go hiking on the wall or take a cable car ride to the top of the hill. On the way back to the downtown, you will have a short exterior visit to the Olympic Stadiums- Bird's Nest and Water Cube.

Back to the hotel after the tour.

Day 4  Port transfer

Pick up from hotel and transfer to Tianjin International Cruise Home Port (3 hours).

Note:

1. The Port mentioned above refers to Tianjin International Cruise Home Port, not Tianjin Xingang Port. Tianjin Xingang Port now mainly serves as a domestic cruise terminal, but it may receive international cruise ships during high travel season, so make sure you know which port will be used by your cruise ship. If it's Xingang Port, please contact us to customize the itinerary.

2. Please tell us your detailed information about your cruise ship name, arrival/departure time.

3. The Forbidden City is closed on Monday. The itinerary will be modified accordingly if it happens to be Monday.
