The hotel in general is conviently located from the city center(forbidden city and tianamen sq) but is far from the airport. Though it's difficult to find a reasonably good hotel near the airport. Considering the fact that most of the hotels are far from the airport(which itself is some 40-45 km from the city) the location is convenient. Taxi fare from the airport to the hotel is nearly 110RMB(incl the 10RMB tax). The hotel is neat and clean. The staff is friendly, though none of them can communicate in good English(this is a big problem everywhere in China). Rooms are clean and AC and television works fine. However, the standard room has a shower smaller than a phone booth which is a pain. Lifts work fine and even the hotel staff is cooperative and helpful. I did not have any problems in general.
