I agree with Ms. Leung that this is an older hotel that has value for the frugal traveller. The standard room I was in was not acceptable, as it had an odor, and the window view was blocked by a large sign for the hotel. After one night, I moved up to an executive room, and was quite satisfied. Comfortable king bed, internet access, modernized bathroom. I prefer the older facilities as they are more unique as opposed to the cookie cutter rooms in modern hotels. This place has a charm that I enjoyed. Nothing fancy, but well maintained. The neighborhood is interesting, and it is possible to find local eateries to walk to, as well as more upscale places. Shopping is everywhere, as are the ubiquitous McDonalds and Starbucks. I extended my stay, and would stay here again. Don't forget to ask the front desk if they can give you a better rate than listed on their price chart. My rate was almost cut in half.
