Review of Chengdu Tibet Hotel by annie

we stayed in Tibet Hotel last Aug. for about $72 USD/n for 2nights booked from travelocity. What a very very nice hotel !! even better than any 5* we ever stayed in US, or Shanghai, or Beijing. The room was very tastfully decorated, with 2 full size beds, which was very rare for foreign travel. very clean, and modern. The bath rm was huge, and very mordern. the service was excellent, from handling the bags, to help to get the taxi, and the guy even write down the lic plate for every time when we get into the car, in case we forgot anything in the car later. Must try the restaurants, food were very special, and price was very very good. We have been in a lot of places from hongkong, tokyo, to canada, and sweden. Chinese food here were exceptionally tender and wonderful. Free bf was excellent, my family only had tried american chinese food before, they were so being blowed away this time! Please don't worry about the location, seems on another side from the airport, but the city was mid size, only take 45min about 60RMB ($8us) to get there. Taxi drivers were friendly, but they were driving a little too fast, even two women drivers. you would let them slow down a bit. Highly recommonded. We have been telling every one about it since we got back. Never write the review before, but did this time. The main reason we picked this hotel because the good review from other site. Enjoy it.
