Review of Hangzhou Crowne Plaza Hotel by Bevan

This place was a shocker! On the net it said it had room service and 3 restaurants. As I knew I would be getting in late evening, I wanted to be able to eat in my room, or at least in the hotel. To my surprise, although there was a room service menu, when I rang reception to order, they told me that there was NO room service. So, I went to try to eat at one of the restaurants. The one on the ground floor had a wedding on - so no chance there. One of the others had shut down. The bar mentioned in the facilities as being downstairs next to reception - gone, or never there in the first place. So, I go to the coffee lounge, the only thing open to me. I tried to order 3 different dishes, & two different drinks from the menu, only to be told that they don't have them. Hopeless ! Next, I needed to be able to access the internet using my laptop, as I was travelling for business. The internet information said they have internet access. That was true, but only if you used & paid for the use of the DESKTOP computer in the room. Not possible to use internet in conjunction with your own computer. Lastly, continually getting phone calls late during the night offering Massageeeee ! As I said on the first call - I'm not bloody interested, I'm hungry & I just want to go to sleep! I wouldn't put my dog up in this place.
