We stayed in the "Hangzhou New Century Hotel" for three nights. This is a very presentable hotel for this price. The room is clean and spacious. It's conveniently located within walking distance from the West Lake. A definite value for money. Room heating was excellent, beddings & pillows very good. Only drawback was poor language(English) skill at reception, so not much help with directions etc but situation of hotels means most places within city easily found & reachable on foot...
I stayed in the New Century Hotel on November 27/07 and really liked it. The reception was very friendly and helpful. As my Chinese was non-existant, they were extremely helpful in providing me with directions to specific areas. The concierge was extremely helpful in providing the taxi driver with information as to where I wanted to go and also very helpful in the hotel. The room was very clean and confortable and the TV had various channels in English. Overall it was very confortable. Good location and the breakfast buffet was a good selection of Chinese and western food. A hotel in Canada of this standard would have been $150.00 per night...

We stayed in the "Hangzhou New Century Hotel" for one night in June 2007. The location of the hotel is super. It is situated in the shopping belt (in fact, adjoining the hotel is a shopping mall) and within short walking distance (5 mins) to the West Lake. Across the West Lake are many international restaurants and eateries which is great for home-sick tourist. The hotel staff are polite. The hotel room is clean and bright. It is definite worth the money we paid for...
We stayed in the "Hangzhou New Century Hotel" in July 2006. The hotel should really be a four star hotel in our opinion. The hotel location is very good (although we got a bit confused as there is another New Century hotel in Hangzhou). The hotel was exquisite, the room was large, very nicely furnished and well equipped. There were plenty of English language TV channels, very efficient air-conditiong, daily free minibar items. The personnel was very polite and helpful, although their English skills were not very good. At our request, an Assitant Manager was kind enough to arrange for us a private guided tour of Hangzhou, which was turned out to be also a pleasant experience. Overall it was a great hotel to stay at and we definitely recommend it! The room rates were incomparale smaller than any similar western hotels. We booked though this site and we payed the equivalent of 47-50 EUR per double room per day, which is a bargain by all means!..
