Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon is located in Cili County, Zhangjiajie. Close to the World Natural Heritage Wulingyuan Scenic Area, this scenic site is a newly developed area that is open to the public on August 20th, 2016. Spanning two cliffs in the canyon area, the bridge stretch 430 meters long and 6 meters wide, hovering over a 300-meter-deep valley. The bridge deck is paved with transparent glasses and can accommodate up to 800 people at a time. The glass-bottom is the world’s highest and longest glass bridge, which is regarded as a model of international bridge construction with 10 WORLD MOST prizes.

The world’s highest and longest glass-bottom bridge opened on Saturday in China’s spectacular Zhangjiajieļ¼¨the inspiration for the US blockbuster movie Avatar. Some 430 meters long and suspended 300 meters off the ground, the bridge spans the canyon between two mountain cliffs in Zhangjiajie park in Central China’s Hunan province. Six meters wide and made of 99 panels of clear glass, the bridge can hold up to 800 people at once, said an official in Zhangjiajie, a popular tourist destination. Tourists can walk across the bridge, designed by Israeli architect Haim Dotan. The more adventurous will be able to bungee jump or ride a zip line.
