Haitian Hotel, a commercial city hotel totally invested by the Yunnan Tobacco Company, is located in the center of the city of Kunming, at the crossroad of Beijing Road and Tuodong Road. To its north-west lie Camellia Park and Dong Feng Square, the central square of the city. To its east stand the nation-renowned Zhengqi Temple, and Shangyi Flower Market. The hotel enjoys convenient transportation, for it is located only three kilometers away from the airport and one kilometer from the railway station. It offers 177 rooms of different types, and nearly 550 dinner seats in its Chinese and Western restaurants.

Opening on April 28th 1999, Haitian Hotel has been established for almost eight years, managed by the Pacific Hotel Management Co at the very beginning, and self-run two years later. After suffering heavy successive years’ losses during the period of entitled management, the hotel drew back its management authority at the end of year 2000.
