Set in the old part of Lijiang where no cars/taxi's are allowed, the 2416 Inn was a bit hard to find, but well worth the effort. The old style court yard hotel sits on a lovely cobbled narrow street & has a small friendly family feel to it & the building style was simply wonderful. We had the "View Room" which had a big king size bed, small kitchen/washing mayine & ensuite bathroom & was full of olde China features with hand carved wooden fixtures everywhere. Our large roof top baloncy provide a specatular view of old Ligiang at roof top level. The hotel owners were simply wonderful & invited us to join them for any meal as part of the family. They drove us to horse riding and to DaiLi and simply refused to take any money even for petrol. I am not sure about thier English capabilities as I was staying with a Manderin speaking friend. The hotel only accepts Remenbi (Chinese $(Yuan)) credit card so be careful! We stayed for 4 nights and enjoyed every second. One of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! Well worth a visit!
