We stayed for 2 nights in a one-bedroom no-smoking unit in JUNE '08. The unit has the queen bed upstairs in the loft and was comfortable. Sofa downstairs was well worn and dirty. Kitchen was adequately equipped except for lack of sponge and washing up liquid. 1 bathroom upstairs and 1/2 bath downstairs. Major turnoff was lack of proper shower. Shower area was over the sink and "blocked off" from rest of bathroom by a short shower curtain, causing entire bathroom to be wet after water is turned on. Hotel location is pretty good. Underground station either direction about 5-10 minutes away. Pleasant in fine weather but otherwise a bit of a pain! 7-11 is just outside main door and hot take-away meals are available at lunch and dinner time. Health center is nicely laid out with modern equipment although we did not have the chance to use it. NOTE: On our visit, breakfast was NOT included although advertised to be so on website. Broadband internet access is also extra charge although Wi-Fi is available in cafe round the corner.

We stayed here from 11/27/05 through 12/4/05. We were very pleased with the accommodations. We were especially impressed with the staff, from the front desk to housekeeping staff. We stayed in a two-bedroom apartment that had lots of space. Next time we would ask for a non-smoking room because we could smell cigarette smoke from other rooms, but other than that we were quite comfortable. You really can't do much better for the price. We intend to stay there the next time we are in Beijing. My son became ill after we arrived and every day the staff asked after his health. We missed a dinner reservation one night and the night manager actually walked my friend and I to a wonderful restaurant near the apartments. Security in the apartment is wonderful and the SPR Coffee Shop and Wine Bar, where you get your free breakfast, was friendly and the coffee and food was great. We will be back.
