 | The tour is excellent value as the \"English\" cruise alone costs almost as much without the hotel pick-up and transportation to the dock (about 15 miles downstream from Guilin) and return from Yangshuo (which is a good hour from Guilin.) Our guide was excellent. Very funny and genuinely cared that everyone was enjoying themselves. The scenery was magnificant and the food on the cruise was better than expected. The boat has a large dining room on the main floor with middle and upper viewing decks. The tour docked in Yangshuo and there was plenty of time (maybe too much) to see the sites or do some bargain shopping. (There was an additional tour to the country-side for those who wanted, at an extra charge.)
The only negative was that the bus was a old relic with hard seats and bad shocks. Having used this company a few days earlier for the 2 day tour in Beijing with new, clean vehicles we were a little suprised. (Tony may not be aware.)
