At first glance this hotel seems fine, very friendly staff and the amenities look great particularly with a shuttle to the airport. It ends there. The rooms are adequate but the seperate toilet is extremely small and the showers need updating. The rating system is off from North American standards as this would come in as maybe a 3 star if that. The food was very good but the service in the Swiss Chalet restaurant left little to be desired. My mother and I walked into the restaurant for the Saturday breakfast and there was maybe 6 people there. We asked to sit by the window but were refused because there were larger tables there yet, no customers were there. A gentleman walked in about 10 minutes after us solo and funny enough, he was able to sit by the window. Stupid and poor customer service.

We spent our last night in China in Sino Swiss hotel Beijing before leaving China. The room was very comfortable, the hotel only a few minutes from the airport and the hotel shuttle to the hotel and back to the airport was very convenient. An excellent choice before a long flight home.

We stayed at this hotel only because it seemed liked the best of the rest, it had a free shuttle to the airport & the reviews were generally positive. We booked a suite & got suite 9XX. Walking down the hall it looked pretty bleak. A good coat of paint would go a long way. It was a two floor suite, the bedroom was a loft upstairs. There was no working air conditioner and the room temp was in the upper 70s F. We opened the window to ventilate the room & wound up with a room full of smog. The bed had not been changed from the previous guest...now that's just plain unacceptable. The pool looked very good except it didn't have any water in it. I'm at a loss as to why this might be considered a resort. The Japanese restaraunt was very good & the draught beer was very cold at the bar. Bottom line: without having stayed at any other airport property, this may or may not be what you need. But I would much rather stay at the Marriott West & leave 90 minutes earlier than stay here again.

We've often wondered why it only has 4 stars! The pool and the breakfast and other details far surpass other 5-star hotels in China. Of course, like all hotels that weren't built this or last year, there are a few rooms that may need newer carpeting soon, but maybe they've already changed the carpet since we've been there last. We've stayed at least 5 times and have usually taken friends/relatives there that visited us in Tianjin (next to Beijing). We made it a habit to stay overnight the night before we flew out. No stress! They have a free bus going downtown and back regularly.

A very nice, clean, modern hotel, very close to the airport. Since traffic is very bad from downtown to airport, if you have a morning flight it is advisable to spend your last night before leaving in this hotel. Free shuttle to airport leaves every 30 mins, free shuttle to downtown leaves only every 2 hours. The Hotel's Chinese and Western food are first class. I did not sample the Japanese or Mongolian cusine. At the hotel shops you can have your name painted in Chinese on a scroll, or in your own language inside a scent bottle that has a pretty landscape also painted inside it. The hotel can arrange sightseeing tours with private car and guide at reasonable prices. The hotel has a golf package with access to about 10 golf courses.
