review written by Scott Bizar
My family and I enjoyed a Yangtze River & Three Gorges Tour with Regal China in the summer of 2007. I really cannot say enough about the caring attitude of the crew and staff of Regal China lines. We arrived in Chongqing in the morning of the departure, though the crew expected all passengers to arrive in the evening. The ship was at a "dock," but was really not linked to the shore that early. We encountered three young ladies who were crew members and they immediately called the ship on their cell phone and the entire crew went to work to help us reach the ship with our luggage. We were allowed to put our luggage in our cabins (which had already been prepared) and were able to spend the day touring Chongqing (which was our hope and reason for arriving so early). The cruise was wonderful. Facilities are exactly as shown in the photos on the ChinaTour web site. The tour director, Howard, was outstanding and really interested in sharing his knowledge of the region. His English was impeccable and his courtesy and professionalism were so memorable that my entire family remembers him by name whenever we look at our photos from the cruise. Food was plentiful and excellent with a good variety to choose from. Entertainment by crew members and other planned activities aboard ship were really fun. The entire crew and staff did everything they could to make our cruise more enjoyable. This cruise was one of the true highlights of our trip to China and I recommend it highly to anyone considering it. It lived up to all descriptions and the price was really very reasonable. If we are ever able to return to China, we plan to repeat this cruise. My family included myself, my wife, my 12-year-old son, and my 83 year-old mom. Everyone enjoyed all aspects of the cruise - so it offered a lot to all age groups and we were never bored or unhappy. I hope that I have been able to convey my high recommendation of this cruise and Regal China. - Scott B. Bizar, Gilbert, Arizona, USA
