The room was small and the mattress is hard. The bathroom looks like the one in a college dorm. Be aware, the room looks nothing like in the picture. It is cheap for sure, but I think for the same money you would get better stay at Motel 168 etc. Will definitely not return...

The room was small and clean, the bathrooms were always kept very clean. The breakfast was great, a buffet which contents were changed daily. It's true that the entrance is hard to find, but with a good map and the hotel's name written in Chinese, I never had a problem. The staff were very very helpful or not so helpful, it depended on who it was that I spoke with. Generally though, they did try, for me it was a case of finding the right words to communicate what I needed...

My stay was fine and I stayed for 10 days. Since the price I paid was amongst the lowest in Shanghai for a serviced apt. I won't complain about the somewhat "worn out" state of my room. The location was excellent right off Yanan road and 5 minutes by Taxi to Jingan Temple, Hengshan rd. and to Zhongshan Park. There were many chinese restaurants, a Family Mart convenience store and a Bank of China within 5 minutes walking. I had no troubles getting Taxis finding the apts as they had a business card with the name and location printed in Chinese and English on it (including a small map on the back). The hotel is also located right next to the 5 star prestigious Longemont Hotel (which also owns the apts.) where I usually found my Taxi as they had a taxi line there and the english speaking concierges would help explain to the driver where I wanted to go. I also found the apt staff, including maids, to speak adequate english...

Our experience was ok. First, despite the location of this building is rather hidden, we could find it just beside the Yien-an high way. The staff at the reception are helpful but not so friendly, of course it is not a hotel so we can accept it. We stayed in 2 bedrooms and 1 living room of 130 sqms., the room was wide and clean, only the bathroom was rather old, especially the tiles were rather old. If they can change the new tiles, that will be great. The price was worthy only RMB 698, cheaper than the Howard Johnson All Suites. I can give it 4 stars...

Our experience with this Apartments was rather unpleasant. First, Location of this building is extremely hidden, the taxi driver couldn`t find it and we had to walk and search for it with our luggage (although its close to the downtown). The staff at the "counter" is not helpful and unpleasant. Also we wanted one twin bed and one king bed room. But there was no option at booking process so we booked two king bed rooms. when we wanted to change one room the charge for the room suddenly was almost doubbled (almost 400RMB!! for this price i could get 5star hotel). In description on Chinatour it says the rooms are 27sqm- dont belive it, our room was small and old dirty. Dont believe the pictures as well (maybe its super deluxe rooms or sth). Some rooms have kitchen but you have to call service for all equipment (and they dont do your dishes when cleaning room). Internet works and is ok. Despite all of this we even extended our stay since we where just tired and didnt want to loose time searching for another hotel. Overall Shanghai Summit Service Apartment is just not worth the price so i suggest that if you want to enjoy your trip to china and don`t get frustrated just spend few dollars more and book normal hotel (i recommend Howard Johnson Plaza personally, its worth the money)...

I very much enjoyed my stay at the Summit Service Apartment, I stayed there for 2 weeks in a Studio Apartment. The Room was a nice size for a studio. Bed was comfortable and sheets were clean and fresh(you had the option of daily change or they normally change every three days to assist in the environment) Location was fine, in the midde of Shanghai with walking to Subway and buses. Convienient Store in building as well as a Massage Center. Bathroom was fine, but depending on the time, water pressure in the shower was low and hot water did run low sometimes. Also in a studio not much space for your toiletry items. TV was in well working order, English channels limited but Japanese channel and English movie available. Door needed some adjustments as they were hard to close, had to slam it. I think it is for most of the rooms as I did hear slamming of other doors. In the room is acceptably quiet, some nights of plumbing noise and some street noice was apparent. I was on the 19th floor. Service wise, bellman were always helpful and smiling, English is not great but fair for most of the staff. Assistant Manager was helpful as well as sales staff. Sorry did not use the Spa or Top Dining room. Overall a fine stay, I would choose a bigger room next time I stay at Summit Service Apartment. Best regards..

Hotel was well located, the staff was helpful. The bar and lounge on the rooftop is excellent to spend an evening after a hard days work. The girl serving at the bar knew English and had a good collectionof music. Overall a decent experience...
