Suzhou Bamboo Grove Hotel
I stayed in a standard room in this hotel for three nights in August 2010. The location of this hotel is very good. On foot it only takes twenty minutes to reach the Garden of the Master of Nets (Visit the garden in the evening and see the show!). The Pavillion of Surging Waves is also easy to reach. The outlay of the hotel is very interesting with a pond in the middle of the hotel. My room looked out on part of the water which was a nice touch. The staff were friendly although not all of them spoke English. The rooms had plenty of space and were well maintained. I would stay in this hotel again when I visit Suzhou.

Suzhou Bamboo Grove Hotel
Bamboo Grove Hotel in Suzhou was very nice. We were given the 'budget' room for your special weekend rate of 398 rmb. They said we can upgrade to a garden view with larger space for an additional 100 rmb. This room was much nice facing the inner courtyard, 3F and larger facilities. When we checked out, they said they told us that the rate of 680 rmb and NOT 498 rmb as we thought..We hadnumerous discussions and arguments with the management. My Chinese friend was about to call your office to see if there was a special rate on the deluxe rooms. We decided just to pay it and go. We probably will not stay there again. but it was nice except the mistake by one of us. We will stay in an inner city hotel.
