 | I took an upstream cruise with Victoria Prince from Shanghai (20th April 2008) till Chongqing (28th April 2008).
It was a very professional, well organized voyage. Staff was extremly practiced, friendly and courteous. River guides (Luther and Curtis) were very well trained. Wide selection of carefully-chosen Chinese and Western food. Exciting and interesting evening programmes(welcome reception, farewell dinner, karaoke night, fashion show, Yangtze River Trivia, crew cabaret, traditional Chinese music and folk dances, musical instruments) and daytime demostrations(engraving and stonecutting, pearl and its wonder, morning Tai Chi, Chinese medicite and treatment, traditional painting, Chinese language short course-it was not easy:-) - snuff bottle painting, how to make Chinese dumpling, silk embroidery, ship bridge tour, how to make Chinese kite, commentaries of Yangtze River, present Chinese daily life). Well organized shore excursions. All in all, it was a lifetime memory cruise. Suggestins: one more stops and excursions at Lushan (Jiujiang). A "negative" note: a little bit overpriced .
