As usual in China the room, and the whole hotel, smells llke an ashtray. Clean enough, but shabby and definitely past it's use-by date. Asked for their best view and got. a scene which wouldn't have looked out of place in Oliver Twist! Grotty back alley. But then this whole part of town is in decay. That sai  more..
