Hani Terraces and Tianshan Mountain were announced to be added to the World Heritage List at the 37th session of UNESCO’s World Heritage Committee (WHC), which makes a total 45 World Heritages of China, second only to Italy.
Located at Yuanyang County in Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province, Hani Terraces has been enjoying the fame of its marvelous and fantastic landscape. It is comprised of the forest at the hilltop, the stockaded villages below the forest, the terraced fields below the villages and the Honghe water system below the terraced fields.
