Beijing Development and Reform Commission has just announced adjustment programs of taxi fare.The taxi fare will be changed to CNY13 for the first 3km instead of the current CNY10. The charge for every kilometer over the first 3km will be increased to 2.30 yuan from the current 2 yuan. The current additional 3-yuan fuel surcharge will be reduced to 1 yuan per ride. It has been reported that the fee for each taxi booking by phone will increase to 5 yuan within 4 hours from the current 3 yuan, 6 yuan for over 4 hours’ advance. The new policy will be put into effect on June 10th,2013.
