The train station was not opened till 530am. We landed in Beijing at 12am and we took a taxi straight to the train station not knowing that it wasn’t open because we weren’t informed. Many other people weren’t informed and we all ended up sleeping outside the train station in the hot and humid weather. Then when the train station was finally opened, we went in to take our pre ordered tickets, all the counters were in Chinese and we didn’t know which counter to go to. They just suddenly told us our tickets were cancelled to Shanghai bad weather (after what we went through) and asked us to go to another counter for refund. They did not even bother to inform us that there was a typhoon and we couldn’t understand why our train was cancelled.
