Nanshan Cultural Tourist Zone was designed by the New York International City Design Co. of the US. It is the first scenic spot in China that implements the ISO 14000 environment management system, displaying mainly Buddhist culture as well as the Chinese culture, national folklore, ocean scenery and historical sites.
As one of the largest cultural tourist attractions of its kind in
China, the colorful Nanshan Cultural Tourists Zone is, in fact, three separate
theme parks rolled into one. Nanshan Buddhism Culture Park is a window on
China'straditional Buddhism culture; the Felicity and Longevity Culture Park
shine its light on an atmosphere of peace and harmony; and the Nanhai Cultural
Customs Park highlights China's diverse social customs. Key features of the zone
include the three-sided statue of 108-m-tall bronze Guanyin Buddha, Buddhist
temples, superior landscaping and sea views.
