In all, our experience with ChinaTour.net was top notch! Our guide, Sue, was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, spoke Entglish very well (although it was hard to understand her sometimes) and willing to work with our requests. Our flight into Beijing was delayed 5 hours, but they still sent a driver late into the night to get us. We only really had one complaint. We did the shopping-tour because it was cheaper than the non-shopping tour. We didn't know why, but when we went to the few shops we were required to visit, we felt pressured to buy things. Our guide explained that the reason its cheaper is because our trip is subsidized so that we will spend money at these shops. I just wish we'd known that before we got to the shops so we could have planned on spending more money on souvenirs.
Overall, though, a wonderful experience. Our visit to China would have been much more difficult without ChinaTour.net.
