Review of Beijing Airport Garden Hotel by Brian

Beijing Airport Garden Hotel

I have never written a hotel review before, but this place was a horrible experience! I got off the plane at 11 pm and got the hotel by midnight and not in the mood for any funny business. I ordered a king room the day before and I went into my room and found two twin beds. I had to go back down to the desk and tell them. They gave me a king bed finally (as I paid for from the start) The room smelled like someone died in it. I was so tired I didnt want to go back down and ask them to change it so I opened a window and dealt with it. I even got the upgraded room and they put mne a room that faced the highway and all i heard all night long was the honking of horns and traffic. The next day, I asked them to get me a taxi and a guy walked up in a sport coat. I asked him and the front desk if he was REALLY a taxi driver and both said yes. Walking out to his car it was clearly a car-for-hire. I reminded the front desk on my way back into the hotel after refusing to get in the car I asked them clearly for a taxi (da di) not some guy who will charge me 250 RMB for a short jaunt down the street. If you need a taxi, walk out the hotel to the left of the entrance and go flag one down. They advertise they have a pool, fitness center, etc., but none of these are in the hotel, you have to walk about a quarter mile to get to all of these locations where you still have to pay for the facilities and they are not affiliated with the hotel. All they have on location is a resturant and a cafe. Luckily I was only in Beijing for 2 nights to put up with this scam. Read all the reviews before staying here, they speak the truth about this dump.
