4th time staying here. Room was great. wifi is so so. The central location across from Beijing Train station makes it real easy to get around the city. Great breakfast...
The room was excellent. Although wifi connection was poor. The location directly across from the Beijing Railway Station, adjacent to the Henderson Shopping Mall, central making it easy to get around. Airport 30 - 40 minutes drive ...
The room was excellent. The breakfast was excellent. The gym was very good compared to the majority of hotels. The location directly across from the Beijing Railway Station, adjacent to the Henderson Shopping Mall, and only 3 minutes by taxi from WangFujing Road was very handy and central making it easy to get around. Also quite handy for the airport...
Istayed in this hotel for ten days i realy enjoyed The staff was quite ok except some who couldn,t speak not even one word in english There breakfast was quite ok but on supper it was very difficult to choose there was no range the hotel is very smart I recomend this hotel..
I and my family are very much enjoyed staying at this hotel. the hotel staff have some problem with english but it's better than zero. Hotel is just right in the plaza so it's comfotable and also clean rooms. There're many restaurants and option around the hotel. Easy to go around other place since the Subway station is just very near the hotel within 3 mininutes walk. I really appreciate this hotel and I will recommend this hotel to all my friends...
gutes stadthotel, gutes frühstück-buffet, das badezimmer ist nur mit schiebetüre und dadurch sehr hellhörig!! preis/leistung ist in ordnung...
It's a very nice hotel to stay in beijing really, just few steps away to subway, banks, supermarket, mall, and especially beijing tourism center just accross the road......all staffs are profs expecially their concierge lucy and alex...make my holiday much much more easier in beijing.for the hotel room 's quite spacious and the most important thing for me is their cleanlinnes is 5 out of 5 ....definetly I will come again...
First time in Beijing. Stayed at this Hotel for four nights from March 16 to 20. Very polite staff and their English is very good. We're a family of four and we took the suite with in-room internet access which was really great. Having two youngsters with us, the location is great with KFC, McD and Starbucks just across the street. I have nothing bad to say about the hotel...

Very good hotel and very clean. The hotel is also very near of the train station and metro station, so , you can go everywhere shaving a lot of time in the traffic. Nice and comfortable room. Te only thing that is not very nuce is that you can't find an opened restaurant after ussual times. Anyway, out of the hotel, you can find them...
We were recommended The Paragon Hotel by friends and we were not disappointed! Excellent amenities, beds firm but very comfortable, excellent breakfast that kept you going all day and the Tourist Office conveniently across the street. Which was needed since the reception staff spoke very little English and didn´t seem to care very much about their customers. Otherwise the people of Beijing were as a whole very friendly and helpful with the exception of our reception staff. But still, my wife and I would definitely come back!..
The hotel was perfect! breakfast exelent!!! is close to everything by taxi, but the personel of the hotel doesn't speak english.. we found only one girl who understood us at the counter, but as international chain we spect other thing...
Excellent hotel well-located right next to the railway station and the subway line (two stops from Tian’an Men Square. Very courteous staff and nice room. Excellent breakfast included in pleasant restaurant. Recommend to tourists because of good location...
We stayed two and a half weeks with a one year old. Nice clean, moderate sized rooms, good service (8th floor). AM's quite loud on railway station side of hotel, loudspeaker and traffic. Poor exterior soundproofing, interior fine. Atrium cafe good, well-priced and convenient. Thai and chinese restaurants not so much. Good location for subway access (interior), long walk to city center. Starbucks and McDonalds across street, Blenz and KFC in same building. We found self-serve laundry at hostel, much cheaper than hotel laundry service, though slow. Overall good experience, though probably a little overpriced...
Hotel Howard Johnson Taragon in Beijing is very good, excellent. Nice room, very good facilities, very good food, very good service, pleasant people, very helpful. I recommend this hotel to everyone. There is only one somehow misleading information. It says walking distance (15 minutes from the square) and this is not accurate. It is 30-45 minutes walk, not so convenient, but it can be done once or twice...
the stay was nice except 1. windows do not have drape thus room was quite bright in the morning. 2. shampoo and bath soaps were not supplied until last two days of stay. 3. was told to change room due to crack in the window but the new room's air condition was very loud especially late night. couldn't sleep well on the last night 'cos of the noice. location is good next to the shopping mall...
Great service from everyone there.Very friendly, great breakfast buffet, if you want a better coffee Starbucks is right across the street. Hotel was very clean. Hotel is also attached to a huge shopping mall with a great Japanese resteraunt, and a store for drink supplies or food. I would recommend staying here, great central location and value for the money...
Great value for money. Nice comfortable clean rooms. Good location. Nice breakfast. Friendly hotel staff. Only thing was that we booked a Executive Double Room for 3 people with an extra bed and this room was just as small as another friend's room (which was simply a standard room). For the amount we paid for an Executive Room, we could have paid for the standard room and gotten the same space. The only difference was that the Executive room was located on the Howard Johnson Club floor which entitles free access to the lounge and free use of business centre facilities including Internet. For 200 RMB more we upgraded to a suite the second night and that was luxurious. There was even a PC in the room for our exclusive use. Recommended for it's price and central location...
Iwas in this hotel only one day, but Price is very good, very clena, good location, with subway station and room very high quality. Maybe the only deffect is a place for drink something into the hotel during the night...
Great location, mixed level of service - in the spring the air conditioning is not on and the room was hot. Some service people very helpful, some rude. HotelGuideChina did not have correct rate and we received a call the day we arrived and an email telling us the rate was higher and only twin beds were available...
It is most that I was expecting. Great!!! Two shoppings next door and very close to the subway station. You can eat at the KFC next door...
My second & third visit with the hotel was not as good as the first. Two Female staff I deal with was nasty. I'm Chinese American, perhaps they think I was a local Chinese... Ask for outside facing rooms in the back of the hotel. The front of the hotel faces the Beijing main train station and Beijing drivers all drive with their horns day & night. The inner court rooms are noisy too. There is a restaurant in there with loud music playing from 6:30am (when they open) to 10pm when they close. Regardless of my problems, it's still a great loactaion and value...
Very good location, inside of the 2nd ring. Close to most attractions. Great value for the money. Friend and helpful staffs. I was there on businss in June 2005, now I'm returning there with my family for Vacation in July 2005...
