Review of Beijing Paradise Sunshine Hotel by John

Beijing Paradise Sunshine Hotel

In hotels where I have stayed in Shanghai and Beijing I have always been treated politely and helpfully, and I have enjoyed my stay. Broadband access to the web has always been provided via a special connection in the room. The San Yuan Jin An hotel is ideally situated and the rates are very reasonable. However 1. To ask for a deposit of RMB 800, more than twice the room rate, is unreasonable. It says "We, the hotel owners, do not trust you". It is also inconvenient. 2. Broadband access to the world wide web was offered. But first in the evening it was refused. This is when I wished to email to Europe where it would be the working day and when I wanted to contact people there. Second, the next morning no-one could explain how to make the connection. Eventually someone came to demonstrate it - put the computer on the bed and attach to the very short telephone cord. This is not an acceptable connection. 3. I was spoken to very rudely by the men on floor 2 when I was trying to find the two restaurants that are listed in the information in the room. Consequently I did not enjoy my visit, I shall not stay at the hotel again, and I will not recommend it to other people. W J Cram
