The Shanghai Seagull Hotel, the one on the river, is a small hotel with only 12 floors. It is not what you think of as an upscale 5 Star hotel but I am going to give it 5 Stars. The room was not large but for the price of the room with an excellent view of the river it was a very good value. The hotel sits just about on the river and is directly across from the Pearl Tower and other high rise buildings. The room was clean and was cleaned everyday. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. The breakfast was excellent and the hotel is very convenient to shopping and transportation within the city. I'm going to attach some photos if I can make it work. haha
