The main advantage was the proximity to the airport and the free shuttle service provided by the hotel. I used it on a few occassions and it seems very timely. The included breakfast was excellent for the money as the variety of food was enormous. The complementary internet was very handy in the rooms. One downside was the strong smell of cigaretttes in the rooms. It did not bother me as much as it did my wife. Very good value for money...

The main advantage is close to airport and shuttle service provided by the hotel. The hotel is quite nice too. Only problem they had some wildberry tea with a book in both English and Chinese. Read the book and tried the tea. Then found out that the tea had a rather steep price that was written only in chinese on the display case...

this hotel was a nice one if you are looking for a cheap hotel for a stay of 2-3 days. its very near to the airport, so i suggest not to take taxi from the airport as it charges a lot, and rather take the free shuttle bus service from the airport. it just takes around 10minutes by bus. during my stay there was only one english speaking person at the front office but she was really very helpful. she asked me if i need the free shuttle bus service the next morning to the airport for my flight and also if i need a wake up call. the room was unexpectedly nice! i just stayed in the hotel for a fortnight but overall it was nice experience...

I am disappointed. The hotel has no quality as 4-stars hotel. The man at the receptionist on Thursday 28th July 2011 evening is very poor in english. He asked additional CNY 20 cash in advance for the shuttle bus transfer to the airport. But on the next day, when I ask to put the bus-fee on my bill, a polite receptionist-lady explain me that the shuttle bus was free of charge. The bus was also too small ao that many people must wait 20 minutes for the 2nd trip. Why they did not prepare for bigger bus, even they should already know about the number of passanger's bookings...

This was my second stay at this hotel. I went to the counter opposite entrance 13 of Terminal 2 and was escorted to the hotel's free shuttle bus. The room was clean and everything in it worked, though it would have been nice to have cooler air or a lighter blanket. The staff spoke more than adequate English and were very helpful. I left very early and was surprised to receive a boxed breakfast. I will stay there again...

The main advantage is close to airport and shuttle service provided by the hotel. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staff are helpful. Have stayed for two nights this year, on seperate occasions whilst waiting for early morning flights back to the UK. It represents good value for the price...

The main advantage is close to airport and shuttle service provided by the hotel. Have stayed twice both times whilst waiting to catch an early morning flight back to the United Kingdom, the rooms are clean and comfortable and overall the Hotel represents good value for the price...

I stayed one night. Free shuttle works fine even late at nighr, if you reserve it by internet. The check-in was rather slow even at midnight, the operators were continuosly on the phone. The room was OK, even if the heavy smoke smell was quite disturbing. I don't know if the have no-smoking rooms and I forgot to check when making my reservation. The breakfast was OK and the check out was quick and efficient. In summary, today I would choose the same hotel, asking for a no-smoking room...

I stayed at the Beijing Capital Hotel for 3 nights (room 434). The room was clean, quiet and comfortable. The staff at the front desk was efficient, courteous, helpful and spoke English well enough. Proximity to the airport is the biggest plus. It takes 10 to 15 minutes to go B/T the hotel and the airport. My only problem was that on arrival, in terminal 3, I called the hotel and they said they would send a shuttle/driver to pick me up. After waiting 30 minutes, and no driver showing up, I made other arrangements for transportation to the hotel. Regardless of this, the shuttle beats taking a taxi hands down. I did not eat at the hotel restaurants so can not pass judgement on the food. Overall I think the hotel was good value (for an airport hotel) and would stay there again...

The service and room were fine but the restaurant was rather expensive for China. Shuttle bus to the airport runs at all times every half an hour. Reasonable rate and no need to pay any more. Have stayed on two separate occasions and would definitely stay again..

The hotel was very close to the airport which was nice. My daughter and I had a 15 hour layover in Beijing and decided to reserve a room in advance to get some rest or just relax for a bit. Since the olympics would be starting there in few weeks, we decided it might be nice to take some sort of sightseeing tour. Unfortunately there was only one girl at the front desk who spoke very little english. She had no idea what a tour bus was or what sightseeing was. So we were stuck there. Our room was clean and neat but reaked of cigarette spoke which made me feel sick. We ventured out of our room to find something to eat. There were several restaurants in the hotel. We could not find anything offering Western food so we settled for a bowl of steamed rice. I would not stay there again...

A man carrying a name sign met me at the baggage claim area and escorted me to the hotel's free shuttle bus. The room was clean and everything in it worked, though it would have nice to have cooler air or a lighter blanket. The staff spoke more than adequate English and were very helpful. I will stay there again...

This hotel is reasonably priced, is as close to the airport as possible. They picked me up at the airport and were very helpful. The rooms were clean and designed nicely. I would DEFINITELY stay there again...

I stayed at the Beijing Capital for one night. It was excellent value for money. The shuttle bus was very reliable, staff were generally very friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable, with internet connect and cable television. The breakfast was mostly Chinese which is ok if you're used to it. The 'Western' breakfast seems to consist of toast only. Printing at the business centre costs 10 yuan/page, more than you'd pay at a 5 star hotel in the US. But otherwise the hotel is excelent value...

Conveniently located for an overnight intransit stopover. Friendly and helpful staff. A regular shuttle bus. A clean room with all the necessary amenities and an extremely comfortable bed all for a reasonable price. The only negatives were the mosquito in my room and the air-conditioning which seems asthmatic at best...

I stayed this hotel for transit. I couldn't find the shuttle when I came down on July 5, 2007, so I had to pay for a taxi to come to the hotel. The hotel had a free shuttle service when I wanted to return to the airport the next morning July 6, 2007. The hotel room was nice...

for the French-speaking people: Excellent hôtel à deux pas de l'aéroport.

Hello there The hotel was fine in general. It was my second time at the hotel, having stayed there several weeks earlier, but also just for a quick overnight on my way through China, going to/from Russia. The room was reasonable, and the shuttle service was a nice benefit. I didn't eat at the hotel. However, I was disappointed as I had pre-notified the hotel of my late arrival and requested a late check-out. However, no leeway was granted. (I arrived at 500am after a night flight and had wanted to checkout an hour or two later than the official 12noon checkout time). Also, the front desk staff just barely managed with English, it was a good thing I had e-mail correspondence to verify my reservation as well as a copy of paperwork from my earlier stay in Chinese. The shuttle bus driver also had not a word of English ability. He dropped us off somewhere at the airport and left us to our own devices to figure out how to get to the departures level and how to find the first customs security check area. Also, in both cases my rooms faced the busy street and highway out front, and the noise could not be stopped even using ear plugs. SteveJ..

The Capital Hotel was a great stopover hotel for me -- easy to arrange the shuttle, quick check-in, although be sure to bring your confirmation papers with you!!! -- close to the airport, and an easy place to get a meal quickly. It was easy to locate the spot for the shuttle in the airport. They were all out of the lowest rate rooms advertised, but the second option wasn't much more, so it was ok in the end. A great experience overall!..

I stayed at the Beijing Capital for 6 days. It was wonderful. Good service, immaculate rooms and good food. I had also booked the tours through this service ChinaTour.Net and everyone was great. I would stay there again. I recommend it even thought they are updating hotel. They have built a new wing - not completed as yet and are working on updating the older one. Barbara Picot..

I stayed a single night in the hotel after a tour along the Silk Road, prior to flying home the following day. The room was clean and comfortable. A friend stayed in a different room that had a computer, but my room did not have one. The television worked and had an English language channel - the National Geographic Channel. The room was more than adequate for it's primary purpose - sleeping...

I stayed this hotel for transit. I didn't know that there's a guy waiting for me at the gate with sign so I didn't look for him. It took me a while to figure out where I could call a shuttle bus, but once I got to the counter, they were kind enough to call me a shuttle immediately. (besides it was free) The room was decent, however the bathroom was different from western style. There was no bathtub, just a shower on the wall with curtain, so some part of the toilet got wet. The room was clean, but a little too hot. The hotel staff spoke English, and there was no problem for that. In conclusion, it was a suitable hotel for me to stay for a night. It's in the quite place, and I had a really good sleep. If I had another chance for transit in Beijing, I'll book this hotel again...
