Hello, October 8, 2007 we went to the Chengdu Research facility. On cloudy day (such as we had), the Pandas are out in the yards and were enjoying the bamboo that they had been given to eat. Many were paired up and playing around. As the Pandas can not regulate heat well, if you happen to go on a sunny day, it might be more difficult to see them out in the yards. It is not a zoo, it is a very nice facility with many pandas to see. We were lucky enough to see 3 babies (1 that was 1 month old, and 2 that were 3 months old). If you wish to take photos there is no issue except with the babies. You can pay 400 RMB to have a photo taken with an adult panda or 1000 RMB to hold a baby panda and take a photo. We passed as we were happy with the photos we took, as you are looking at these lovely creatures. It was my mom\'s first time seeing the pandas in person and we could have not chosen a better day.
