I'm Lim's wife Angie & would like to contribute something. Lisa was such a wonderful guide that I will definitely recommend her to any friends visiting Beijing. Great to have met you...
Very good experience, only possible through English speaking tour guides. It would have been more enjoyable and interesting of the tour guides interacted and have more information about what's to be expected...
Thank you for a great tour in Beijing. My husband and I had visited most of these places before but without guide. Now we hade an exellent guide, Jenny, who gave us very much information about everything. She really listend to our wishes. Our eldest daughter and her boyfriend really liked the tour. The and our youngest daughter climed the Great Wall in 41 C. It was really hot. I would really like to recommend this tour...
We signed up for the Great Wall and Forbidden City one day tour. The first tour guide, Sue, basically told us that if we went to the Forbidden City first, we would not be able to go to the Great Wall because the roads are frequently closed. She said we had to go to the Great Wall first. The Great Wall was magnificent, but the "lunch at a local hotel" as advertised on the website was this horrible lunch at a little hole in the wall restaurant, and we did not get to choose what we ate. Sue left us in the restaurant that had not one person who spoke English. We had to use our app just to find out where the bathroom was to wash our hands. The lunch was just brought to us without a description of what it was, and we had no choices in what we got to eat. It was basically take it or leave it. Then in the car, she explained that we would have to go to the ticket booth at the Forbidden City, lie to the agent by saying that we didn't know we had to buy advanced tickets. We would go in by ourselves, and Sue would meet us one of the exits despite the fact that we paid for an English speaking tour guide. Firstly, we were not too keen on lying about the ticket requirement, especially when she stated that our tickets were booked for the morning. Tickets to tourist places are booked with your passport, so what happens when they agent calls us out on the lie after discovering that we did have tickets for the morning. I contacted my colleague as I live in Australia, but work for a Chinese company. My colleague called the tour company to explain what was happening as we were in the car with the driver and Sue. The company eventually got a different tour guide, Adele, who was FABULOUS, but we had to endure Sue being extremely rude as she was obviously angry that our Chinese friend had contacted the company on our behalf. We overheard a heated conversation between her and presumably someone from the company. We think that Sue was LAZY and did not want to walk around in the afternoon heat. I would give only ONE star except Adele saved the day with her thorough tour of the Forbidden City that saved the day. I'd give Adele FIVE stars if we had her all day. We can't say enough about how awesome Adele was, especially in comparison to Sue...
Tour guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. customer support was following up through Wechat and they attended all queries on time. Only one point which is not as per expectation availability of forbidden city license with initial tour guide...
Lack of communication, guide very softly spoken, guide badmouthed us to the driver, driver said he thought she was a poor guide. Promoted as 'no stops', but stopped as a jade shop. Were at the wall entry without discussion, so had no water, sunscreen, or bug spray with us. Guide did not introduce herself. Car was nice enough and AC was good. No itinerary was described, so we assumed it would follow as booked. Great wall, lunch, summer palace. So we arrived at the summer palace first. We knew this when we saw the signs. Unfortunately guide did not have a loud voice, and was hard to hear, even when quiet around us. Guide fell asleep on the way to the great wall. When she woke she read a description of the history of the wall from her phone. She lost track a few times where she was up to and had to backtrack, but no worries as we really couldn't hear her anyway. I just googled the history while driving. Then we stopped at a jade shop, which was unexpected as tour emphasised 'no stops' Got to the wall. She asked if we wanted lunch now and we said maybe after the wall, so she took us straight to a restaurant instead. After that we walked out and she took us to the entry. Would have been nice to let us know where we were going at that point as we did not have our packed drinks, sunscreen and bug spray. So we all got sunburnt. All the claims of skipping queues were not important as there was no real queue to entry or to the cable car. Guide did not accompany us over the 3 hours we were on the wall, but she told us that the chairlift was a better option due to queues, which would have been good to know when we booked. At the end our pre booked toboggan slide had a massive queue which we joined at the end. As we got close to the front, they stopped the slides due to thunder and potential storms. So we raced to the chair lift only to find that close as we got there Neither of these were the tour's fault However when we finally got on the chair life I we chatted the guide to let her know we were on our way down on the chairlift and that the slide was closed. We got to the bottom and found our way to the car and the friendly driver. Tour guide was missing and there was a back and forth between the driver and her over the phone. She was waiting for us at the bottom of the slide. Driver said she was blaming him for some issues and was also talking ill of us to him. He said the he didn't think she was a very good tour guide. Guide said she was angry that she had been waiting for 4 hours. It was actually 3 hours, and the last 1 and a half hour was us waiting in the slide queue, and then waiting for the chairlift to recommence after the storm passed. Not our fault. No conversation on the way home...

The Great Wall is a fantastic place. The driver and guide service worked perfectly...
the tour guide talked too much and i wanted to ride with the closed gondola and not the open one..
We really enjoyed our tour of the great wall and ming tombs. I traveled with some family members and our guide (Denna) was a great help and very helpful with the older people in our group. Denna was also very knowledgeable and kept us entertained throughout the day...
Thank you for a wonderful, private car transfer service to the Mutianyu Great Wall. The company were flexible in letting us choose our pick up time from the hotel; and our driver on the day was friendly, on time and gave us lots of time to spend at the location after he showed us to the place to buy tickets. Car very comfortable and a really nice trip; well worth the (very reasonable) price. Thanks again!..
